Ask about the weather up there...can be windy! And colder than in town.... Go when sky is clear to easily see the amazing mountains. Do take the train at the top for more vistas. There are lots of hiking trails with signposts showing direction and distance.

It runs frequently, every day.  The round-trip ticket is only 10 euros, and when you get to the top there are many well-marked hiking trails with stunning views of the Alps, especially if you add a ride on the little train at the top of the cable car.
