"It was perfectly positioned, within walking distance of the centre (through a beautiful park) and all the attractions. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The receptionist gave us a street map on arrival and pointed out good areas for eating and where to avoid. The room itself was very well appointed, plenty of kitchen equipment and very comfortable bed. "This place is a perfect base to explore Reims . We parked in the car park upstairs , outside for free ( there is underground parking on site too ) The room was nice , overlooking the river .. from the hotel it’s walkable to the Cathedral quarter ( 10/12mins stroll ) and there’s a wealth of restaurant choices and bars there . This seemed a very walkable and safe city and the Mercure is a nice easy , cost effective hotel to use as a base for a visit . "
