A coated horse in the snow next west of the old Brighton Road (A23) in Merstham (traditionally narrowly within the Gatton boundary) stops eating hay on spotting a walker on the footpath, which passes by his/her field. One of a range of a few fields in north Merstham which have horses, due to the M25 associated with Hooley and Chaldon more than Old Merstham or New Merstham. A path nearby crosses the M25 into Quality Street, Old Merstham.

Small room but clean and very serviceable. Staff very pleasant. Gym a decent size and well equipped. Add in a great location and very much worth it. One small gripe was elevators were a bit slow (many rooms, few elevators) but overall a great stay.
