The rooms are clean, it’s quiet, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, walking distance to the beach (which is a must when we visit the coast) and this time I booked a room that had a fireplace which was lovely! "Our stay at Valley View at King Oscar was a perfect road trip stop. The room was clean, and the property felt secure. While checking out at a different facility was a bit confusing, everything went smoothly. Despite our late arrival, the desk lady was welcoming and kind. Overall, a great and comfortable stop!"

"To start, I am not a smoker but I knew that this property isn’t non-smoking even though I had booked their non-smoking room. I was prepared for smoky because of past experiences at other similar casino hotels. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t that bad. The entire staff was friendly and responsive. I was surprised to discover their gaming room in the hotel, although small it also wasn’t very smoky. (It was tolerable for me.) I am glad for this alternative to their casino building across the street that is heavily smoky with very poor ventilation. I would consider returning for another stay and play!"
