Simple old hotel but i dont need much and love that LULU the grocery store is across the street. Need to cross the highway but easy. Very relaxed vibe.

One night at Grand PJ Hotel

I arrived very early and very tired after 24hours traveling (4 hours before check-in) but the receptionist was rally helpful and found me a room I could use until my booked room was ready, This was exceptionally kind, especially as there was no extra charge. Overall the hotel is a little "tired" but everything was clean and comfortable.

Very nice welcome from reception gentleman. Good sized room (bathroom needed update -rust and no extractor fan working) but overall a good space. Almost opposite Rak Mall so accessible shopping.

It is an old hotel so dont expect much - what I like best about the hotel is the vibes- very laidback. This time, there was no key, no towel, and the bathroom ceiling was leaking from condensation. They addressed the issues quickly and every time i returned to room they promptly opened it for me. I will stay there again as I like the staff, super friendly and professional. Its across from the rak mall, good for visitors without a car.

Hotel has a good location with free parking. Staff at reception were helpful. Room size was big. The only thing missing towels are provided during stay

Good laidback vibes but no keys for room lately so you need to ask staff to let you in - but they were fast. Didn't bother me. It is an old hotel but I saw they had new ac installed in my room.

Check in system was down. Old hotel and service is low. But if you are aware of it and can accept it, overall a good stay. The staff are very nice n no judgement in hotel - all are welcome. This is my second stay - i was reluctant to atay here the first time after reading the reviews. But i love it here as it is right across from the mall - need to cross a big highway but easy. Just have to keep in mind it is an older hotel.

Disgusting place

I had one night here. The bedding wasnt clean, it had what appeared to be make up marks on it, plus some dark hair. There was long hairs in the bathroom too, and on the floor of the room. I checked in, slept fully covered and on my own towel and left as soon as possible.

This is a budget hotel, so cannot expect many perks. The cleaning is not done proactively. Need to call for cleaning. Rooms are ok. Some bathroom fittings had issues, which were not taken care. It's a bit far from Al Nakheel which is the city centre. The only mall that is within walking distance is the RAK mall.

Good stay

My booking was for a suite where it was mentioned 1king size bed and 1 single bed. But for the single bed I ended up getting a single mattress. I was not really happy about that. Otherwise the room was good; me and my friends enjoyed the stay. Though the hotel vibe and environment can get better as there are no. Of bars downstairs. I would say not a very family friendly environment. It has potential to improve with the room it serves. Probably one of the large room hotel in RAK.

It was an absolutely terrible place and I would never recommend this place to anyone at all.The rooms are not properly maintained , the wash basin was blocked and after repeated attempts to get the waste water cleared the maintenance person also left. The receptionist took so long to check us in and did not seem familiar in operating the system. All in all a bitter experience and a sheer waste of money. this place does not deserve to be on Hotels.com by any chance.

Loud music all night long

Disappointing stay. Lots of loud music all night followed by very loud guests through until after 6am! Beds not comfortable and squeak every time you turn over. Cigarette smoke smell in rooms although listed as a non-smoking property. Will not be staying here again.
