Unique hotel. You use the elevator to go up to the check in desk on the museum floor. Tip park your own car in the parking garage to save money. I opened up the shades from the two big windows and a 5' metal canopy part fell and hit my head. Not great first impression. I was surprised the king suite was smaller then expected. The fridge is very tiny & no freezer. The bed is on a very short platform. Didn't like that at all. Mattress and bedding was comfortable. The shower was strong. But the bathroom had zero A/C and was hot. They did have robes in the room which was a high class touch. I wanted the room service breakfast package but thru Expedia it didn't give the option & the check in desk didn't let me add it. We made a reservation at the restaurant in the hotel and it was ok. It was practically empty and yet they sat us at a teeny tiny table in front of the kitchen. Small menu big price tag. 5 chicken wings $15 they were good but not that good. We walked to DPAC to see the play just a short walk. Not sure we will rebook next play night.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were very welcoming and kind! The beds were not comfortable and the sheets were thin. The walls were very thin. The tv was outdated and had no streaming options and only about 20 channels. They also have no concession stands. I would more than likely choose another hotel if I ever visited the area.

It was a couple date and i adore the room it was clean and well kept. I loved the decor and the museum was amazing. I also loved the food from the restaurant The only thing I didn't like was the TV It was messing up pretty bad and the room wouldn't never get cool. But When I went to the staff with my concern they was very understanding and respectful about my concerned and fix the problem right away I give them a 9/10. Even though i a little issues I will still come back. thanks again for your hospitality.

I booked this hotel based on reviews. I was not impressed. For over $230 a night I expected more. The hotel seemed to be run by 20+ year olds. The lobby and entrance were dingy and were definitely NOT what the pictures showed. I think some serious AI was done to make the hotel look more appealing. The room was clean. The bathroom was the nicest part. Our window view was the HVAc unit directly out our window and it was quite noisy all night. The restaurant was closed. There’s no onsite parking and valet is $35. We will find somewhere else to stay the next time We are in Durham.

Overall the hotel was nice, good location and friendly staff. We had three rooms and two of the three had issues with the AC not working. The staff eventually moved us to new rooms that were better.
