"The room itself was extremely spacious, with a beautiful balcony view and comfortable bed. The property also has a great location, with several restaurants nearby, and the complimentary beach shuttle was a convenient bonus.
My main concern was that the room doors weren't fully sealed from the outdoors. There were noticeable gaps around both the glass balcony sliding doors and at the bottom of the main entrance door, which allowed insects to enter the room. Because of this, it was impossible to fully turn the lights on at night without attracting bugs inside (they came in regardless). While this may be expected to some degree in a tropical destination during rainy season, sealing around the doors could have significantly helped.
That said, the staff was friendly throughout our stay, and the property’s views and pool were definite highlights."
"If I were to rate the hotel strictly based of its merits I would probably give it a 4. Location is at the very top of the hill and it provides an excellent view of the ocean from the rooms and from the roof top pool. The restaurant is fairly priced for the area, seriously go to Quepos if you want affordable real local food. The restaurant provides excellent food I have zero issues with them at all and the free breakfasts are amazing. The rooms are some of the nicest hotels rooms I have ever stayed in, they are large and have nice balconies.
Problems. Room 103 the room I was given had some sort of bug problem I got eaten alive in that room. I arrived on Saturday morning and did not leave the hotel property at all once I arrived until Monday when I complained and they allowed me to switch rooms. I know they are going to get on here and say they have no evidence of bugs but I have plenty of pictures and once they switched me rooms I quit being bit and was able to actually sleep through the night and wouldn't you know it the bites started to heal. The manager refused any compensation at all aside from the room change, wouldn't even give me a ride to the pharmacy and refused to reimburse me for the medication.
Now that is out of the way the hotel is honestly not as clean as you would expect a 4 star hotel to be, although this is a very open hotel so I am sure cleanliness is hard to maintain with multiple entrances to the outside permanently open, there was clearly visible piles"
"The staff was friendly and welcoming and really made it an enjoyable trip. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the restaurant was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families. The beach was a bit of a difficult walk and the beach is rocky but we enjoyed ourselves. Loved staying here!"
"This place was absolutely stunning. The staff is unmatched and so sweet. Very warm welcoming and super helpful. The rooms are clean and beds are SOOO comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Loved this place."
