Staff had limited english, but still tried their best. Walking to the beach front May 4th plaza was nice. Close to food streets and the mall. They had cribs available, in room laundry too ! Room was huge, views were nice ! Little bit outdated but it was clean.

This hotel is one of my three favorite hotels in the world so far: Encore Suite in Las Vegas, Fullerton in Singapore, and this hotel. I booked a room with a Queen size bed with one window, and got a free upgrade to a room with a King size bed with two big windows. The bed room and the bathroom are large, and their condition and amenities are excellent. The hotel has beautiful gardens inside and outside. The gym is also large with two levels. Services are excellent except one girl at the front desk during our check-out which has cold face and voice. Foods are pricy in the hotel. The breakfast buffet is just OK, considering the high price. Wifi is good in room. There is a shopping center a few minute walk away to the left of the hotel. The hotel is not exactly at the city center. So a minimum of 10-min taxi drive is needed to visit most places in Guangzhou from the hotel. Will definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

HAPPY TRIP TO QINGDAO WITH FABULOUS FARGLORY
I visited farglory from 12/21 - 12/25 with my boyfriend for christmas vacation. First of all, location was amazing. Hotel is 10-15 minutes walking distance to carrefour, mixc, yun xia lu food district, 5.4 square etc. Transportation (taxi, bus, subway) is only 5 minutes from the hotel. We could use pool and sauna everynight for free (only during the non-peak season)! And the view from our room (which was 36th floor) was fabulous! I was also happy that you could get to pick smoking/non smoking rooms during the stay. Staffs were kind and cleaning lady would clean our room everyday during our stay. On the very last night, our flight was 8am in the morning so we requested a taxi at the reception the night before. Driver came at 5am and waited for us to leave around 5:30. I was very much satisfied with their service that I would definitely recommened others to visit!

The first room offered had lots of mouldy patches coming down the walls from the ceiling. It was, of course, refused. The second room was very dirty with thick dust in many places. They asked me to pay for a towel, some of which were thread bare and had holes in them, that they claimed could not be cleaned of a small make-up mark, that my partner had, allegedly made. There was no bathrobes supplied and I was asked to pay for any extra coffee and water, despite staying for 12 days. The hotel does not have a dinner restaurant and there are no restaurants within a suitable walking distance, which was a pain in the backside. Gym was poorly maintained and dirty. Staff were generally disinterested. Overall, a dirty establishment, in a poor location and with a poor attitude. How it got such a high rating is a complete mystery for this extensively travelled individual.

Good clean hotel
On hotels.co.nz website this hotel advertises restaurant, bar and lounge. The restaurant only opens for breakfast and lunch and it doesn't have a bar. Overall it was a good stay for the 2 days we had.

Very convenient location for transport and the city sights. Rooms are quiet. Many staff have some English although some do not so communication for those who don’t speak Chinese can take time. It is a pity that no plates or cutlery - or even drinking glasses - are supplied in the kitchens.

Depends on what type of traveler you are. It has the "residence" features of a stove and clothes washer which I used and appreciated. There is a Carrifore supermarket just across the street where you can buy a pot, chopsticks, and all the fixings to make your own spicy hot pot. I like this type of option if I am staying more than two nights in a hotel.

Good value and nice breakfast
A bit hard to find the hotel because it was hidden from the Main Street, and it is shared with office floors, but the location is awesome for sightseeing. Walking distance to subway. Breakfast is good quality with enough selections. Room is comfortable and spacious. Only complaint is elevator. They have 4 but 2 were out of service the whole time we stayed (3 nights) making a long wait each time we used it.

A bit old
I booked the Business Suite Sea View. It was a high floor but the room has a very odd shape. Narrow with sharp angles with a lot of unusable space. No cabinets or drawers in bedroom. Just some bars to hang your clothes. Toilet is very small. It was in early April and the room sitcoms were not operational. Turn them on and regardless of how you adjust the temperature or mode, you will get heated air set to 28deg, which makes the room stifling. The solution is to turn of the system and try to open the very small air inlet at the top of the window. The separate living room is the same odd shape. The only good thing is that it has a washer dryer and microwave. Fortunately after two miserable nights we got a room upgrade to a larger suite. That had a regular shaped bedroom and living room. It was also cooler as it didn’t face the afternoon sun. Thus avoid the Business Suite with sea view as it’s a terrible room due to its odd shap and small toilet. Furthermore the glass panels were extruding at odd positions, obstructing the sea view

Had a huge room on 39th floor with amazing view. Swimming pool on 24th floor was nice, not very big but empty and clean. Coffee in the lobby wasn't at the level of the whole hotel though, quite watery and served in paper cup. Staff was very nice and the room very comfortable and quiet. Totally recommend this hotel, very good value for money.
