Luxury condo feel’s resort

I stay at the suites (Luxury Condo), which is very comfortable and have more space for us to spend, just like at home, everything seems very good. Good service, only one thing that we are not that happy is the suites building is a bit far away from the main building. And the swimming pool, food court, spa….etc are all in the main building, we need to take the golf cart to the main building, which is a little bit inconvenient for us. Other than that, everything is okay for us. I would recommend this resort to my friends, and next time, I would still stay in this hotel.

I had high expectations for this hotel’s Italian restaurant Stretto given the upscale pricing, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short. With entrées priced well over $50, I expected both quality and attention to detail. Instead, we were served an undercooked risotto that lacked the creamy texture and flavor you would expect from a proper Italian dish. The steak was equally disappointing—it appeared pale and unappetizing, almost as if it had been boiled rather than properly seared. The most frustrating dish was the lobster linguine. It arrived cold, and despite being advertised as a lobster dish, it contained no actual lobster—just two jumbo shrimp placed on top. For a plate at that price point, this felt misleading and unacceptable. Overall, the food did not match the premium pricing, and the execution was far below expectations. I would not recommend this restaurant unless significant improvements are made in both quality and accuracy of the menu.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a balcony over the harbor and the room was beautiful. The only complaint was the sofa sleeper bed felt like sleeping on plywood. We bought mattress topper at Walmart so our daughter would survive the remainder of the trip. The pool was nice and clean and had plenty of chairs available. We enjoyed the food court area of the hotel, Harbor Yards, but the restaurants there were very inconsistent with their operating hours. Out of our 4 nights there we only saw the gelato restaurant open once after 7:00pm. Not a lot of these restaurants are open for lunch, and hardly any of them are open for breakfast. The resort is a good concept, but seems like more things need to be open during the day and night if you want people spending money at the resort. We had a rental car so we were able to leave and go explore. There is nothing to do in Port Charlotte, but Punta Gorda has a cute village on the water with shops, restaurants, and sunset cruises. We also drive up to Caspersan Beach for sharks teeth hunting and that was an enjoyable activity. Our vacation was nice, but probably a one and done type place for us.

This past weekend, my boyfriend and I stayed at Sunseeker Resort for our anniversary and had a great time overall. The resort was beautiful and easy to navigate, but a few issues would make us reconsider staying again. On Friday, we asked the front desk about reserving lounge chairs at the Level Blue pool and were told reservations weren’t being taken for Saturday. However, when we arrived, we were told reservations were required, and everything, including the waitlist, was full. Thankfully, we found space at the bar and still enjoyed the day, but clearer communication at check-in would have helped. We also tried the main pool but couldn’t find any shaded seating. It would be nice if pools stayed open later, as they closed right at sunset. Food was good but overpriced; $65 for breakfast for two at Half Cracked felt excessive, and while drinks at Level Blue were great, prices were high. Our room was lovely, and we appreciated the tech features, especially the easy TV casting. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the amenities didn’t match the cost. A $45 daily resort fee and $28 parking felt unreasonable, especially when we couldn’t access lounge chairs. The staff, however, were welcoming and excellent.

The hotel is lovely - the adults only pool is awesome with food and beverage service. My only minor complaint - and I am guessing it is because we were there mid-week - is that a lot of food options were closed. The primary restaurant off the lobby was even closed for a "private event" - most of the stuff in the food court was closed - really left us only the option of the sports bar - which was fine - as long as you just wanted a burger.

The overall stay was good, especially during the evening, but it was clear that the hotel was short-staffed. I’ve stayed here twice before, and this time I could really notice that the workers seemed overwhelmed. There were too many guests for such a small staff, which affected the level of service. I hope management can address this, because the staff is doing their best under pressure and ke of the pool the heater was broken

This was our second day at the Sunset resort. We stayed back in January. Our first visit everything was fantastic. But this time some things were off. The hot tub by the pool was not hot. The rooftop pool was closed early Saturday for a private event. The gym was spacious, but the equipment they use was substandard. The staff was extremely friendly, but back in January, but this time that same friendliness was severely lacking.

We had a wonderful stay. We stayed a long weekend from Saturday to Monday during mid march (spring break time). We came in from Tampa. We booked a standard room but the couple in front of us didn’t like their room because they booked a suite not realizing the suites are in a separate building from main building. They changed rooms n I suspect we got their suite because we were upgraded : D the suites are a walk or golf cart ride to the main building with pool area. We did not mind this. The golf cart drivers were always ready for us n we found it fun to be carted around 🤗 you could also walk there’s a lovely path along the waterfront. The suite was freaking amazing!! Pools were amazing!!! The only annoying thing was having to reserve a pool chair the day prior at the adult pool. Didn’t cost anything but stupid. Especially because no one explained this to us and so we weren’t able to access a chair the entire time bc by the time we figured it out the trip was over ; /

Sunseeker is a destination resort. Numerous restaurants, pools, and activities to choose from. Staff are very welcoming and friendly.

It is rare when the pictures of a resort actually match what looks like in person. This place was definitely one of those rare places. Had a great stay there.

Clean room , but one of the staffs told us no we can’t use the pool she said you have to pay Then when we checked out they said no everything was included !

The resort is new and in great condition! All the staff was friendly - special shout out to Stephanie (concierge) who was so helpful and charmed us all with her smile.
