We ordered an ocean view and could not see the ocean from our room. The WiFi was unusable from our room and our bedding was damp. We had to run the water for 30 mins to get hot water. The hotel layout is weird, we had to walk 20 mins to get to some of the restaurants. We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t get any reservations for the first two nights, so we barely got to try any of the a la carte restaurants. The ones we did try, the food was mediocre. Service was a hit or miss, we had to wait 40 mins to place our order for one of the restaurants. The beach was filled with boats so the view wasn’t very scenic. The pools were nice though.

The reception, restaurants, bars, and pool staff were not very friendly or helpful. I don’t know if they are not fond of my race or they are just miserable working. Check in was the most inefficient and staff were not very helpful. We checked in online but still had to wait hours to check in at the hotel and then was told to go back to check in after 4 to get a room assigned. The entire process took us several hours. Even when we went back after check in time we were told there were no rooms assigned yet. Apparently, everyone else in line experienced the same situation as we did. Throughout our stay, the majority of the staff at the restaurants and bars and the pool area were very dismissive or had some sort of attitude. We felt very unwelcomed. They seemed friendly only with people who spoke Spanish. This was the same for the staff at the reception The food was ok and alcohol provided did not seem to be premium quality. The bathrooms to some of the restaurants were not very well kept. The exterior and the rooms were nice but that was the only positive thing I got out of it.

The room were not as clean as I two years ago, also a lot of issues missing pieces in the bathroom: water drain in both shower and sink were missing the cover. Shower was having black mold and pink one also like it have been clean bad or a while. vanity sink water drain was disgusting, and water was staying there, so I called to have it fix and clean and yes they cleaned but for the issue for the water stayed their fix was to close the water pression and I ended up with a fine line of fallen water for the rest of my stay. I killed a small cockroach and saw a couple more during my stay in my room. Also there were lines every day to be able to eat in the buffet. Water park water was disgusting, the slides had green mold and baby splash area was having a lot of missing pieces the floor which was actually dangerous for my baby to walk there NO I do not recommend this hotel anymore Room 5183

Food and beverage good but the service is horrible…, no bar inside the pool and super bad service around the area.., if you want to drink you practically have to go out and walk long distances to get a good drinks because the drink at the nearest bar is horrible…, only domestic drinks. The climax at the lobby and main bar was poor and smelled very bad. You have to walk so much to enjoy the nocturnal amenities…, not golf car services not nothing…, so it’s not good for all people. In my opinion and the other people that went together is toó expensive for what you receive

Check in terrible, the worst I've had in Punta Cana, this was my 4th visit to Punta Cana. Clogged sink reported twice and never fixed, moldy bathroom. The last day the air conditioning broke down; I reported it during my check out. Room 4250, visited 7/19/25-7/23/25. It's a shame, because the hotel is very nice, the outdoor areas are well maintained, and the staff is generally friendly and cheerful. Good service and varied and very well-prepared food in the restaurants, especially El Asador and Gondola. I really enjoyed the white party on the beach. I enjoyed my visits to the English pub and the Bavaro Coffee.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the amenities are impressive. However, the resort is significantly understaffed, which affects the overall guest experience. Check-in and check-out lines are consistently long and move very slowly. Restaurant reservations must be made as soon as you check in, but unfortunately, availability is almost nonexistent—leaving guests to eat at the buffet for most of their stay. The A/C in the rooms doesn’t cool well and leaves the room feeling humid. I was part of a wedding group, and everyone had the same complaint. Room service is extremely slow—it took about 1.5 hours each time we ordered. Overall, the resort is large and offers great amenities, but it struggles to keep up with the volume of guests due to a lack of adequate staffing.

Overall, it was a good resort. The only reason I am leaving a review is that, as an active traveler, I feel it necessary to share that their front desk and security personnel do not answer the phone after midnight. We unfortunately needed security's help with our neighbor fighting at 3am - 5am several nights of our stay and when I tried to call no one would answer. I had to leave my room to try to get someone's attention at 3am and then the next day, when I complained, they said they would look into it and make sure it doesn't happen again but it did. I am not complaining that the neighbors were being loud - I know the property cannot control that. But I should be able to safety and promptly get a hold of the front desk and security at any time.

I’ll make it simple. If you want to stay in a place that is beautiful but want to spend almost 2 hours to check in this is your place. If you want no towels in your room and our force to go to the pool and get towels for your family this is your place. If you want staff to be unfriendly this is your place. If you want to walk to a nice water park for kids on the property but it’s about a 15 to 20 min walk and let’s say you forget to get towels because for some reason there isn’t a place to get towels at the water park and need to walk back to the beach area and now killed about 40 mins this is your place. First and last time at this place not worth the amount of money I spent there.

My experience with my family was not pleasant. We've visited other resorts in the DR and we never had such a bad experience. First of all we spent an hour doing the check in, and the staff didn't provided us clear information and guidance about the amenities at the hotel. In some places at the hotel, some staff responded rudely and in a very impolite tone to some request we had . Seriously, I havent seen such attitude anywhere else as I saw here. Also, the reservation for the restaurants was not available, any day we stayed until the day we had to go home.

The condition of the room was excellent, not quite brand new but very well kept. It was obvious in the shower. However, the stairs that leads to the bar from the lobby was dirty, worn out and simply out of character from the rest of the property. Restaurant services was not consistent. Some were very friendly with nice smile and some were minimum. I was surprised to find staff that spoke little to no English, not that I was in trouble but I think better training could improve things. I was surprised to find an abundance of shopping within the property. The night club was indeed very good when compared with Coco bongo and imagine.Food quality was above average.
