We ordered an ocean view and could not see the ocean from our room. The WiFi was unusable from our room and our bedding was damp. We had to run the water for 30 mins to get hot water. The hotel layout is weird, we had to walk 20 mins to get to some of the restaurants. We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t get any reservations for the first two nights, so we barely got to try any of the a la carte restaurants. The ones we did try, the food was mediocre. Service was a hit or miss, we had to wait 40 mins to place our order for one of the restaurants. The beach was filled with boats so the view wasn’t very scenic. The pools were nice though.

Staff is very friendly . The place is beatifull !! Two things i do not like about the hotel : 1- pool towels ( they are smelly) 2- Restaurants !! Buffett is super good , but we visit the Fench and the Mexican restaurants . They are NOT good !!

Bar would run out of a liquor I was drinking and ask if i wanted something else, if I pay for open bar i expect them to have a backup bottle ready just in case! Room was damp and the ac was not working right! Maintenance stop by a few times but no change. Outdoor pool was ok not too bad but did close at 6 , I don’t like for people to tell me when I need to get out of the pool when on vacation! Staff was hit or miss but got the most part not very helpful! I even had a few wake up calls that I did not ask for and wasn’t able to rest!! They also tried to turn thibg around saying it’s my fault for them calling! The food was hit or miss also , I went to a restaurant and the food was poor quality! Went back due to not eating and tried something different and it was great!! The buffet are also hit or miss some good some bad! I wouldn’t even eat at times! I feel like they would either turn off the ac or it wouldn’t work in the bars / lobby areas/ and some restaurants but that’s just me!

Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Staff very welcoming and many times we saw how much they care about giving very good service and having good facilities. They were all very hard working and friendly. The layout is very practical, well thought out and easy to follow after one day and everything is within a five minute walk. Everything is accessible for people with disabilities, walking is flat or with elevators and there is shade within 10 feet of you everywhere. The room was more than spacious enough with a large walk-in shower, very good water pressure and detachable wand and ceiling shower head as well as comfortable bed, couch and chairs, private balcony and well insulated for keeping sound out. There is a little smell when you walk into the room that disappears after a few minutes but that is probably true in all rooms along caribbean beaches. My husband works in mold remediation and did not find any concern for mold growth anywhere. There is a party atmosphere but no one was disrespectful and we never saw anyone acting intoxicated. The layout allows you be at party/games area at the beach and pool, which only happens during a couple of hours in the afternoon, or be at other end at the quieter pools, water park or The Boulevard. There were some food options that were very excellent and some that were just okay. Theatre shows okay but lighting and sound uncomfortable. Ice breaker fun. We walked 3 miles of beach and Lopesan had the nicest portion.
