I recently stayed at this resort and had a mixed experience. The property itself is beautiful, well maintained, and clearly designed to host many guests. The buffet offered a good variety of food and most dishes we tried were quite good, which was a highlight of the stay. The hotel staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more pleasant. Their kindness and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. However, one thing that was honestly surprising—and unacceptable—was the complete lack of baby changing facilities. For a resort of this size that clearly receives many families with young children, it’s hard to understand how there isn’t a single bathroom or designated area equipped with a baby changing table. The wine included in the all-inclusive package was unfortunately very poor in quality. Another disappointment was the Thai restaurant. Because it’s difficult to get a reservation, we expected much better. The “all-inclusive” menu felt very limited and the flavor of the dishes was not particularly exceptional. One more negative point: a company operating inside the hotel approaches guests—especially those who have just arrived—to try to sell a time-sharing program. The approach feels pushy and, in my opinion, it’s not worth it. I would strongly advise other guests not to sign up. Overall, the resort is beautiful and the staff are kind, but these issues affected our stay.

**Great Solo Getaway – Friendly Staff & Perfect Beach Location** I took a last-minute solo trip and stayed at Caribe Deluxe Princess. I’ve been to many resorts in the Dominican Republic, and I would rate this one around a 3.5–4 star resort overall. Check-in was smooth and easy. Milagros at the concierge desk was very friendly and accommodating, which made a great first impression. My beachfront room was exactly what I was hoping for. The pools, beach, and restaurants were literally just steps from my door, which made everything very convenient. The room itself was nice, although it could use a little maintenance. At times there was a slight sewage smell coming from the bathroom/shower area. The door key system is built into the bracelet, which is convenient, but I do wish there was an additional security lock inside the room. The mini fridge was fully stocked, which I appreciated. The resort grounds were clean and well maintained. I only used one of the three pools, which seemed to be the quietest and perfect for a relaxing solo trip. It was also located near the beach bar grill, which was very convenient.  Also a slight sewage smell in certain areas The buffet had some good options, and I also dined at Pilon and the Asian restaurant during my stay. Service around the resort was great. Starlin at the pool/beach bar was very attentive, and Wascar the bartender was also excellent. One of the highlights of my trip was a deep tissue massage on the beach with Blendy. She was

The room wasn’t as clean as I would have liked it to be. The rooms weren’t even swept or mopped. We had sand every day in our rooms. The shower knobs and handles to sink were so disgusting. The toilet wasn’t freshened. The beds were about the only thing changed and cleaned. Which was sad. The telephones stopped working after 830pm. I couldn’t call down for even ice. It was horrible.

During our stay of a couple days, we got locked out of our room, then there were issues with plumbing and water was turned off for half a day, the food is not that great- stay away from the beef! The beach was beautiful but you will get interrupted every 5 minutes with people trying to sell you overpriced souvenirs or fake jewelry. The staff were nice and helpful. If we were to travel to the DR again, we would look at staying at another resort.

This was supposed to be an enjoyably mother – daughter trip and we ended up leaving the next day. We had saved our money for quite a while to take this trip and looking at the pictures and the reviews, it seemed like it was gonna be OK. Upon arriving, we were locked out of our room for nearly an hour. When we got there, they told us in order to eat at any of the restaurants you have to make reservations, and that all the restaurants were full. We were told we would have to only eat at the buffet, which was some of the worst food I have ever had. In order to get anything from the front desk, you have to take a shuttle back up to the main building. We noticed we didn’t have any blankets on our bed only a sheet so I went to use the phone to have them bring us a blanket and our phone did not work. I had to wait for a shuttle almost 15 minutes in the pouring rain, they took me back up to the lobby, where I requested a blanket and an extra pillow They never brought it. I went back out at 10:30 at night to go tell them I still had not received the blanket but the shuttle never came. I slept in my jakcet and I covered my daughter with towels so she could stay warm.I truly believe because we didn’t sign up for the two hour spiel to try to get us to buy a timeshare we were not taken care of. We were devasted. Some of the staff were nice but half were incredibly rude. I was told I would be penalized for leaving early.

Food was disgusting. Our internet rarely worked. Staff was rude. No amenities. Harassed by concierge. No blankets for bed. We feel the package we purchased was not what we were given. They did not honor our VIP package and made us pay to upgrade (which Expedia credited) but was supposed to be included. We feel a partial refund is in order

Food was ok the room didn’t have any shower pressure or hot water all week we had to take cold showers and the towels in the room were always an issue. Services at restaurants are very slow. Good vacation but not running back

Room was very clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful when booking restaurants. There were plenty of options for food and activities. There were Nexus staff at the resort so booking excursions was pretty simple and easy. The on site spa was also very clean and a nice experience. I would recommend guests to bring mosquito repellent as there are quite a bit here, I even got bit while in the spa. There are Royal Holiday staff at this location that will try to sell you on their service, I would recommend to be firm if you are not interested as their presentations can eat up a bit of your time.
