My room was clean. I got clean towels anytime I needed. The minibar was restocked! I loved that! The only thing was I chose ADULTS ONLY resort and I ended hearing kids crying and running all the time. Which was disappointing.

We travelled here in March 2026. The entire Bahia Principe property is massive. The Luxury Esmeralda was just right. We travelled with our children and it kept everyone happy. The on site Water Park is perfect for toddlers/pre-school children. The pools and beachfront are beautiful. The staff were hit and miss- the more you tip the better your service is. The a-la-cartes were delicious but poorly serviced/staffed. Many of them only had washrooms outside which was a bit challenging with littles and were often unkempt. The swim up room was worth it. The rooms look much bigger online but were still spacious and modern. Check-out was chaotic and left my husband feeling frustrated. So many people coming in and out every day the lobby was hectic and staff often seemed overwhelmed. Overall, had a great time and would revisit.

I'm sure the kitchen is not being cleaned properly, we ordered room service on our anniversary night and the plates were brought to us with roaches on it. Loved the multiple pools on the property and ability to go to all the other resorts under the Bahia name. Loved the gym, large and clean. Good food and multiple al carte dinner options.

It first took four hours to check in because they did not have our room available. The staff are extremely loud very early in the morning and try to come and clean at 8am and wake everyone up. The pools were dirty, the food was terrible (besides for the restaurants). None of the staff speak english which makes everything incredibly difficult and it elongates every single situation. Every time we asked for anything, whether it be towels, robes, waters, etc they tell us they’re going to come and no one ever comes and you don’t get what u asked for. We had a massive cockroach in our room and it took 45 mins to get help and they then tried to make us wait until the next day to take care of it. Lastly i had over $1000 worth of jewelry stolen from me out of my bag at the pool. The resort is beautiful but the most frustrating inefficient place i have ever been.

Housekeeping was hit and miss. Staff were friendly but need a fire lit under them as service is relatively slow but with some exceptions. Pools were great although they need more umbrellas. Beach is beautiful but had lots of no seeums and I reacted badly to them. Ocean is nice and warm. All in all a good stay.

This is my 3rd time to the BP resort in Punta Cana but first at Esmeralda. I really enjoyed my visit. The property is well keep and beautiful. All of the common areas were clean. My room was large with enough space everywhere. The check in and a la carte reservation process was easy to use on the app. When I arrived the front desk was very friendly and helpful! Carla was the best! Every bar or restaurant that I went to was full of staff that were polite and took care of their guests. The food portions were filling and there was a good selection. The pool area was fun and lively. Alberto at the pool bar was a master at drinks and service. The gym had enough equipment to get a good workout in! The beach had enough chairs for guests. It was an easy walk to the beach and the beach was tended to by staff. It was annoying when people save their chairs but don't even come to use them until the afternoon. Overall I enjoyed my time there.

We love the pool. Also, the beach was perhaps the most amazing beach we have ever been on. Truly sugar like sand. We could walk for miles. Food overall was just OK. The buffet by the first pool was much much better than the buffet by the beach. Also, the bartenders at the pool bars were amazing. Alberto, Albi, Yadelina and the others made it so much fun. Entertainment was fun also. “King Kong “was a lot of fun. We kind of got suckered into going approximately 10 minutes outside of the resort for souvenirs, but it was simply a tourist trap. It was free transportation, but they just wanted to get you there so you would buy some things. Really enjoyed the local drink, mamajuana. Again, can’t stress enough how amazing the beach is here. Overall, a really nice stay

There were several roaches visible in restaurants and sports bar area. The food was decent in the Esmeralda restaurants but much better in the other restaurants on the other resorts.
