Overall it was a nice place and we had a great stay! It was a little farther from most of the mains areas than I thought it would be as the tuk tuk rides were long. And the bathroom smelled a bit like mold and I could visibly see mold in the bathroom so there’s that. And we got the private pool room but couldn’t really swim in it because it got dirty quick. But the staff was great and we had a lovely stay!

After a 4day balabac tour this property is exactly what we needed. Very clean and the staff were amazing!!! Rose, angel and chris were all amazing ! Bedroom was perfect, air conditioning was perfect and the shower was pure bliss!!!!

Hotel great ! Food great ! Pool amazing!

Personal pool, a large general pool, great cooking (rare) and the personnel was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms huge. The only downside were the roaches (3/4) walking around on the buffet during breakfast. The breakfast is well protected, but it is still a little unsettling.

Excellent place to stay if you have plans for the Underground river. Make sure you have shuttle service and they will pick you up from this hotel. The staff is great and the rooms are very clean. They have a great breakfast and dining options. I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this place.

Carpe Diem Resort has a lot of potential. The pool area is beautiful, and the staff were friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and nicely designed, with a magnificent bathroom. The beds were a bit stiff, and the walls were thin, so we could hear noise from the next room. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The food felt subpar and overly fancy when a simple Filipino breakfast would have been much better. The quality did not match the extra cost. Several interns were managing breakfast but seemed untrained, spending most of their time chatting instead of helping guests. Overall, it is a lovely place with promise, but the food and staff training need improvement to match the beauty of the resort.

I think that the highlight of this hotel is the staff everybody is so incredibly pleasant and attentive the facility is nice but it needs upgrading this is the kind of hotel that has a huge potential for becoming a high end boutique facility with a cocktail hour and more tour activities the rooms need upgrading badly but overall it was a very pleasant experience

The rooms, the property, restaurant were so pristinely clean. All the towels smelled so nice. The room smelled nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only down side is the property is not near anything walkable but it’s a cheap trip by tricycle to wherever you want to go. I would stay here again.

Loved the ambience. We walked through lush foliage to get to our room. Transportation is needed to get around. Be sure to bring a flashlight because "brown outs"(loss of electricity, which happens throughout Philippines)

Small and cozy.

This is a fantastic little place for a couples retreat. It’s not lavish but it’s small and friendly. Great if you’re going out and about day tripping. Small but quiet. Stayed in a villa with private pool. They could do more to make it private as people walking past have full view so it’s not really private. Grounds are lush and green. There’s really no amenities like a big hotel but you don’t have the crowds either. Restaurant is very average and we generally went out to eat. Service was exceptional. We had a great time.

Beautiful - but beware mosquitos

The place is BEAUTIFUL. Service is good but like most places in the Philippines not necessarily timely (for example: breakfast is posted that it starts at 7, of the four mornings we were here it wasn’t all ready till 7:10-7:50.) The private pools by the family villas were amazing for privacy, they skim the pools and maintain the property well. The only issue with the property is the mosquito population is WILD. Even using OFF we were eaten up and the mosquitos were everywhere. Seems like some spraying or torches to bring down the mosquito population would be beneficial. Also they have listed that they have an exercise room - It’s a sweet little area with only an exercise bike and one machine. So if that’s something you were looking forward to… Don’t. The WiFi is amazing. The breakfasts are good (made to order omelets or crepes) along with food lines I would return again, but being more mosquito sprays and not book so many early morning tours to reduce breakfast stress timing wise

A Hidden Gem of Tranquility and Charm! Carpe Diem Villa and Resort is a true oasis in Puerto Princesa! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the peaceful, Balinese-inspired atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and elegant sculptures. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed, and well-equipped — we especially loved the private pool access, which made the stay feel extra luxurious. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even helping us plan local tours and arranging transport when needed. The main pool area is stunning and well-maintained — perfect for lounging with a drink from the poolside bar. Dining at their restaurant was a delightful surprise. The fusion of French and Filipino flavors made for a unique and satisfying experience, though we would have appreciated a bit more variety in the breakfast options. While the resort is tucked away from the main town, it’s a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Just be prepared to arrange transportation if you plan to explore more of the city. Overall, Carpe Diem is the perfect mix of comfort, relaxation, and attentive service. We’re already planning our next visit! Rating: 4.7/5
