The room was not well kept, the shower glass was cracked so everytime we showered, it leaked all to the bed area, the staff was extremely rude and unwilling to be helpful (except for literally 3 people), the amenities were not as promised - a lot of was not available or well kept at all, and the power went out 4 times which caused all the water to be off as well. The food was the worst food I’ve ever had.

The property was beautiful. We did not get the upgraded room which I would recommend if it fits in your budget. When we checked into our room it was not clean, it had trash from the previous occupant, used towels, and some trash on the floor. It also took awhile for them to provide us with clean towels/wash cloths. I did not let this ruin my trip even though I was a bit upset. Overall I loved the property, I just wish it had more activities/shows on the resort.

Rooms on the bottom floor had spiders. Rooms were advertised to have bidets but did not. Staff was hit or miss depending on the day and location. The beach and pool are nice but nothing else to do. The shows are outside, so when it rains you are out of luck.

I took a solo vacation to Senator Puerto Plata and enjoyed the hotel, beach and gorgeous scenery and views. The Jr Garden Suite in Building 12 is dated but was clean, had great air conditioning, hot water, a comfortable bed and a patio facing palm trees. The resort isn't massive...easily walkable. The beach was free of sargassum with lovely sand and fresh breeze. Tons of chairs available. Beach vendors selling photos and offering hair braids are frequent but a simple "no, gracias" does the trick. The pool area is divided into 2 pools and one has a swim up bar. Get your towels early! Plenty of options for food at the main buffet or sports bar or snack bar. I found the buffet to have good selection of meat and fish and vegetables. Nice cakes for dessert. The staff work hard in the buffet. There's a cute little street that has shops selling souvenirs, rum, cigars, jewelery, etc...there's also a pizza place, ice cream and coffee shop where you can eat/drink for free. The resort has a show nightly. There are good areas for quiet and activities depending on your taste. Don't miss taking the walking trail up the hill to the viewpoint. From there you can see the whole resortnand coast and the bay on the other side where cruise ships dock. The sunset is beautiful. A great stay and I would definitely return!

Las habitaciones deben ser actualizadas , en mi caso no funcionaba el teléfono para comunicar con la carpeta y resto de áreas. Además el aire acondicionado se interrumpe frecuentemente por plazos de más de dos o tres horas lo que provoca que te despiertes por el calor
