「The hotel is very clean, both inside and outside. The staff were super friendly, always with a smile and a “buenas Dias”. We ate at the on site restaurant several times; the weekend brunch had a wide variety of food: fresh fruit, juices, traditional Mexican breakfast foods, and omelet bar. Gabriel from the restaurant was SO friendly and warm. He explained the Mexican dishes and their flavors. 「We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower).
