Very nice hotel with a very large courtyard and nice roof deck. We were there in low season (summer), when the bar, restaurant, and roof terrace were all closed.

Restaurant was very nice, but only open for breakfast and lunch. The room was a little musty until I ran the AC. This is not uncommon for historic buildings. Very nice staff and a great place to stay for the price.

Perfect place from which to explore Puebla

We stayed 2 nights in Puebla at the Casa Azulai and found it to be well beyond our expectations. The building is beautifully designed around an old Spanish era premises with the internal courtyard just perfect for relaxing with coffee before the day began or with a drink in the early evening. Our room was large and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us to explore Puebla - easy walking distance to all the central historic area - especially the amazing ceramic workshops and nearby markets. The staff were very helpful and we felt very looked after. We hope to return again.

I never write reviews but this little hotel was such nice surprise. People were amazing, very knowledgeable, very helpful with directions and information about the area and if they were not sure they were very eager to find out more information for me, very sweet and very nice people. My room was very clean and very nice. The hotel is close to the center of town so it was very easy to walk every where but at the same time it was quiet and relaxing. I am already planning my next trip to Puebla and Casa Azulai.

En general muy bien el hotel; sólo que no me gustó que me hicieran el cargo de la estancia a mi tarjeta de crédito antes de hacer el check-in, pues las condiciones de la reservación eran que el cobro se haría en la propiedad. Por otro lado, el hotel está céntrico, muy bien situado y se puede llegar a pié a sitios de interés, cafés y restaurantes, pero por las noches las calles de la ciudad están muy solas, hay poca luz y parecen un poco inseguras.

very nice restoration of this old house and definitively a wonder to stay in Puebla. The only "bad" is the noise of traffic. The Hotel is near a very transited avenue and noise at night on Friday was bothering me to get some sleep. However, ask for a room that avoids this and you will have a good time
