Stayed 2 nights. The bed was a little soft for my liking, but worked well. Breakfast was amazing, the view of the lake and surrounding area was fantastic. We walked to the ferry terminal which is about 1k (1/2 m) away. 4-5 dining options were also available near the terminal. The hot tub is outside the pool area, everything is very well kept.

A very beautiful place to stay. The free buffet was the best we have ever seen. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will diffinately return.

Das Hotel verdient die besten Noten und großes Lob. Absolut alles perfekt und mit viel Liebe und Können errichtetes Hotel. Wir waren nur eine Nacht auf der Durchreise, aber wir kommen sicher bald wieder.

Very beautiful location at the Chiemsee, big lawn with beautiful view of the lake, close to Prien. Has two restaurants, one "a la carte" with mediterranean flavor, and one with high class menus. We tried the former and were happy with it! Staff and atmosphere are nice and friendly.

Lovely staff, well located for amenities, good spa facilities. Mix up over our room (described by booking site as having a balcony, but didn’t have one) was disappointing, hotel nearly full so had to take a room without balcony for a lower rate.

Amazing hotel in Chiemsee
This is the place you must stay when in Chiemsee. Excellent location by the lake with amazing views of sunset n sunrise. I am lucky to have chosen this hotel for my short stay in Chiemsee

This hotel is in an absolute beautiful location. The room was very comfortable and the amenities (pool, hot tub) were great. It is a little difficult to get around if you do not have car, but if you don’t mind walking there are plenty of activities.

This is a very attractive hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake, which we could have enjoyed from the deck outside of our room if the mosquitoes were not so thick. The room was a bit warm in the evening due to the hot days during our stay but cooled down at night. Air conditioning would have made our sleep more restful. Thankfully, there was a screen on the window so it could be left open at night. There is a small stoney beach for those who wish to swim in the lake and also an indoor heated swimming pool. There is an attractive indoor and outdoor restaurant on the premises that has delicious entrees. The downside were the annoying mosquitoes. We sat indoors but in inside portion of the restaurant was open to the outside, so our dinner pleasure was interrupted by the pesky mosquitoes. We probably killed about 30 of them during the course of our dinner and were bitten a few times.

An ok stay
The hotel is beautifully situated, in a good location. Parking when we arrived was a little difficult, and the room stuffy and hot. Unfortunately not having air-conditioning meant the only solution was to sleep with the window open, we could hear the road and the hotel's restaurant (both quietened down at night) but the room remained warm. Breakfast was overpriced.

The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, the staff at the reception very friendly. Even though the hotel wants to have international standards it was surprising to find out, that they charge not per room but per person. If you book a room that sleeps thereto have to pay for the extra person - plus the breakfast for each person. It is quite understandable and common use to charge for breakfast per person, but for an additional person in the room? The restaurant doesn't meet the standards of a four star hotel- in fact it doesn't meet the standard of the food in the area. With each dish we had was something wrong- too cold, too salty or tasteless. This is a pity as the hotel itself is located at one of the best spots in the area.

Great location, friendly staff.
Things were a little pricey at the hotel, drinks, dinner, etc. but the location was great and the staff was very friendly. It was a short walk to Prien and the attractions there.

The hotel enjoys a beautiful setting overlooking the lake and has immediate access to the water. Local tourist attractions include the wonderful Herrenchiemsee Palace only a short boat trip away on Herreninsel - a visit to this Ludwig II castle was our prime reason for coming here. Food was of a high standard and there was a particularly impressive maître d' in the hotel's restaurant. We would certainly have no qualms about revisiting this hotel again and next time hiring some bikes to trail around the beautiful lake itself.

Nice hotel facing the lake.
A pleasant stay in our trip to SE Germany and Austria. Highly recommended. Nice hotel close to the town and the pier with boats going to Herrenchiemsee. Many restaurants nearby.

This was the most expensive stay of our trip and our least favorite. When we checked in, we were told breakfast was not included, not expected due to the high fee we payed ($200 per night), the knowledge that German hotels include breakfast and the fact that the rave reviews on Hotels.com cited the great breakfast. The receptionist was not friendly, although other staff in the hotel were quite kind. We paid the $10 Euro more per night to not look over the parking lot, but our room was on the corner of the side and the parking lot - still heard the street noise. The worst part of the stay, however, was the lack of air conditioning and the muggy heat.

A gem on the Chiemsee
Excellent hotel in a beautiful setting. Superb staff. Restaurant was very pleasant and food very good. If you are fond of sailing, as we are, it has the added plus of a marina of sailboats at the lawn of the property. We will definitely return to this Yachthotel and Chiemsee.

Absolutely amazing
Friendly staff, great location, beautiful interior, delicious dinner in the local restaurant. Conveniently close to the highway for a one-night rest. A crib was prepared for my 5 month old child with a plush toy as a gift. Absolutely loved it!

Sehr freundliches Personal und wunderschöne Lage am See. Das Hotel ist leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Lecker Frühstück. Pool und Saunen sind schön. Der Ruheraum ist ein umfunktionierter Konferenzraum, mit altem Teppich. Die Heizung ging nicht mehr richtig und es war viel zu kalt um sich dort von der Sauna auszuruhen.

Tolle Lage mit direktem Zugang zum Chiemsee. Das behindertengerechte Zimmer sollte hinsichtlich der Badezimmertür und der Fenster mal modernisiert werden. Wirkte etwas heruntergekommen und lieblos und steht in keinem Verhältnis zum Zimmerpreis
