A little gem. It truly feels like a country house and every member of staff really made us welcome and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The food was great too.
As soon as we arrived the Staff on reception were so welcoming and professional, the room was tastefully decorated, and everything was top quality. Our room overlooked the rear garden, and was perfect. We asked if we could eat early in the restaurant and this was arranged and no problem at all. All the staff were well trained, and professional, friendly and welcoming. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending a stay at Bartle Hall, and we are hoping to return soon. Thank you.
Lovely hotel in all aspects. The restaurant was good and the breakfast was of a good standard. Staff were most helpful and the overall ambiance of the property was good.
The only negative was that our room (Ribby) was very small. Maybe other rooms were bigger. We have stayed here twice and coincidentally had the same room so don't know if there are bigger rooms.
All the staff were friendly and attentive. The Garden Room was an excellent venue for both my brother's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration and breakfast the next morning. The grounds are lovely and well maintained.
Nice hotel, well priced. Good food. Large, comfortable and homely rooms. Excellent breakfast. Staff were good, my pet hate however (in any hotel or restaurant!) is when bar staff are talking between themselves not work related (or worse on their phones!). The bar staff were pretty attentive the night I stayed but could improve on above.
Lovely stay. Beautiful hotel in beautiful settings. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The room was big and comfortable with all the lovely extra touches. The en-suite was clean and spacious and the breakfast was delicious with all local produce. Thank you for a perfect stay my daughter loved it.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Poor service and disappointing
Poor customer service from the receptionist, for service over a food order, worst pillows ever, little hot water for a shower in the morning, just very disappointing overall.
Lovely room and a terrific breakfast. My only gripe would be no water in the room and the big one was the creaking floors. You will be woken up as soon as someone else wakes up in the hotel.
Really nice hotel, very professional and helpful staff, rooms exceptionally clean and food was gorgeous. If you get the opportunity to spend a night or two at this place I would advise you to.
I love coming here, the staff are wonderful and the hotel is lovely. It is rather pricey, the only issue I ever have when I stay is the hot water in the bath is never hot. I’ve had this 3 times on my stay in the ivy cottage and it’s always been reported but doesn’t seem to get better unless they come out and fiddle with the boiler. The breakfast has changed slightly but is still exceptional and I would recommend everyone have one. The staff truly make this exceptional.
We were in the area visiting family so did not try the restaurant menu. However the breakfasts were excellent. The beds were also extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bartle Hall Hotel is in a most attractive, quiet parkland setting. Access is reasonably straightforward from M6. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Accommodation is clean and smart. Restaurant food is original and very good, although the nouvelle cuisine presentation of the main dinner dishes might not suit all tastes..

Wonderful
We found this online as we were wandering through England. It was well away from the highway, and could use a little touchup, but was a wonderful option. We enjoyed it very much.
A lovely atmospheric and historic hotel that affords a relaxing break. The grounds are large with opportunities for walks. Generally amenities were good. Our room was tiny but had a lovely view. the double bed small as was the shower room. I cannot speak for the other 14 rooms in the main house. The shower itself was great as were the thickness of the towels. Unfortunately one could hear the snoring from the room next door which fortunately stopped quite quickly. The staff were very accomodating and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and delicious although there wasn't much choice of fruit and yoghurt.
We would go back but would ask for a different room.
