"Rooms are infested with rats. Hotel staff are unhelpful and sometimes downright rude. The hotel is very isolated and you are trapped eating their bland, expensive food. You can tell that it was once a nice place to stay but the new owner, an American, has left the property to rot. Don’t be fooled by the photos and reviews on this site, it is no longer a 4 star hotel. Save your money and go to a more exciting part of the island. "

"Tampah Hills was nothing we had ever experienced before. Our "room" (villa!) was extremely spacious, and our group of 8 never felt we were too close to each other. "We stayed in the standard 2 bed villa. Bed was decent, pretty firm. Good location, a 6 minute walk to the main food street and about 10 from the sea (you will need to walk another 5 minutes to get to the beach without boats on the sand). The rooms we’re great and the pool was refreshing in the heat, although it was a very small plunge pool so a family of 4 wouldn’t all be able to fit in it at once.
