「It started off kind of awkward since we had to wait three hours for our water to be working in our room because of a leak in our bathroom. But the hotel staff were nice, and they explained that it would be done as soon as possible. However, on our second to last day, we were told that they needed to fix the leak again and we had to go to another room which was much smaller and not even close to the nice view we had in our original room. We mentioned that the water leak really didn't bother us....

「Small, very nice boutique hotel. Very clean and tastefully decorated, with an excellent breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, no one speaks a word of English, so we could only communicate via cell phone and translation tools. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and we can highly recommend the hotel.」

「The room was clean and very well keep. The staff were all very kind and always willing to facilitate you even with a language barrier. The breakfast has a great selection of Brazilian dishes. My only set back was the bar didn’t have much local beers I expected to find but the cocktails were great 」

「O quarto estava sem cabides, guarda roupas sem porta, frigobar vazio, sem coberta, em resumo o hotel está precisando de reformas em todo hotel. Os funcionários se esforçam em atender bem. o Hotel tem uma ótima localização. Aproveito para informar que por de força maior precisei retornar para minha cidade um dia antes ou seja desocupei o Hotel no 15/12 e não no dia 16/12, peço a compreensão em ressarcir a diária que nao utilizei. Grato pela atenção.」

「O primeiro quarto que ficamos era no térreo o que tornou bastante incomodo o barulho durante a madrugada de entrada e saída de hospedes, conversas, portas batendo e outros que foram interrompendo nosso sono durante a noite, além disso as toalhas oferecidas estavam manchadas e roupa de cama com cheiro de usada e até furada. 「 I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn other travelers. Hotel Portobello is advertised as a 4-star property, but based on my experience, it felt closer to a 1-star hotel. The facilities are outdated and in serious need of renovation. The rooms and common areas look worn down and poorly maintained, nothing like the photos shown online.
