Geen value for money

We kregen niet, zoals in de bevestiging stond, een ontbijt. Het complex moet nodig onderhouden worden. Detail: losse wcbril. Zeker geen "value for money". Voor het betaalde bedrag mag je meer verwachten.

Did not have continental breakfast as advertised (which was one of the primary factors I use to select a place to stay), they were surprised how long ago I made the reservation and had to "upgrade" me to a double. One bedspread had a hole, the only ice was a mini ice tray for the mini-fridge which barely froze, because there was no seal under the door, 1 ant and 1 stink bug got in plus any smoke from people smoking on the balcony. The toilet bowl seat was cracked. And when I turned on the bathroom light in the middle of the night roaches scurried away. The owner/manager lived onsite and had to be phoned to the desk from outside but was very charming and accommodating, the only highlight of that location.

Ehhh find someplace else.

The room was very outdated. Our been was extremely old and uncomfortable. There wasn't a couch in the room that was broken and sagged in that's you couldn't sit on it.

Das Lobbygebäude vor den Zimmer versetzte uns erst einmal einen Schock. Sehr heruntergekommen. Alles andere als ein Aushängeschild. Das Gebäude mit den Zimmern ist noch erträglich. Eine Dame, die für die Zimmerreinigung zuständig ist, rettet den Gesamteindruck ein wenig durch ihre Freundlichkeit und eine gute Reinigung. Sie macht das Beste daraus und verdient Lob. Die Ausstattung ist ausreichend. (großer Kühlschrank, Haartrockner usw.) Das im Angebot versprochene inbegriffene Frühstück gab es nicht. An der Straßenfront stand ein Restaurant zur Verfügung (sehr gut) wo man frühstücken konnte, natürlich auf eigene Kosten. Alles in allem. Wer nicht zu anspruchsvoll ist kann zu einem moderaten Preis dort übernachten.

Unfriendly, unprofessional staff. Seemed like a room that is rented by the hour. No WiFi, not even a telephone signal.

Wouldn't recommend.

Room ok. Deff wouldn't stay again... Also we ordered pizza from this place called 3 guys. And we God food poisoning... So never order from there if u end up staying here. People staying in the rooms were super trashy. And smelled like weed.

Eh

The place was super outdated with damaged furniture but you can tell they try to keep it as clean as they can. Water stains on the ceilings and I few roaches. No heat so I would suggest bringing a quilt and warm pajamas. Free breakfast is coffee and a bagel from a shop across the lot which was good.

Horrible, shabby people in parking lot

Clerk had bright red hair, was shaking very badly, sniffing continuously, drugs??? Small children running thru parking lot, hotel door open with dirty looking woman inside. Clerk could not find our reservation, said the only available room had a door that did not lock. Thank heavens!! We went down the street, did not want to stay in such a dangerous looking place.

Breakfast was not complete but a 3.50 off at a local spot. Good food there. Room smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Even had cigarette burns in the bedding. Deadbolt lock on the door did not work

DISGUSTING MOLDY DIRTY

Note I did not book a room in Highland but rather in New Paltz. A funky algorithm in their system bumped reservation to Highland. We found out when we went to the New Paltz to check in and were told of the switch. HIGHLAND location: We checked in, went into the room, left. This place is DISGUSTING: parking lot full of transients; room reeked of bleach / mold; dirty comforters on the bed, crusty bathroom. We also felt totally unsafe and seriously concerned our cars would be broken into over night. To that point, the manager keeps herself locked in a room that's guarded by a huge dog. Back to the smell in the room: I was practically overcome by fumes (eyes burning, trouble breathing). When we left we went back to the America's Best Value Inn where I initially booked the room (New Paltz) and asked if there was any way we could get a room there. We were told they had availability and the only explanation for our reservation transfer was the automated system I mention earlier. To prove her point, the desk clerk in the New Paltz location told us to call America's Best Value Inn's reservation # directly to see if there was availability in New Paltz. We did and we were told no, New Paltz was sold out. We then let the agent know she was on speaker phone and we were in the lobby booking a room at the very hotel that she said was fully booked. A sad situation indeed. Nonetheless, avoid the Highland area hotel at all costs (you'd be better off sleeping in your car).

The outside of the hotel was alot to be desired. Was turned off by some of the other guests actions staying there. One man opening door in underwear. Another guest throwing their laundry out onto walkway.

Nice people, budget accommodation.

The place was ok. The people were truly very nice and they allow pets but the tv didn't work, there were no batteries in the remote and there were ants in the bathroom. There is a convenient bagel shop on the property.

Bad Choice room 207 WARNING

We arrived late to Room 207. The wife was cold so she worked on the air handler. I went to help, and when I touched it the front cover fell onto the floor. I then noticed the air filters as I put the cover back in place. They were coated with debris. Also once we got the air handler working, it wouldn't function on the setting we chose. The room smelled to high heavens... One of those kind where you have to wash all of your clothing afterwards.... That sucked. I went to plug in my CPAP and touched the headboard to get to the receptacle behind. The headboard fell off the bed!!!! Also the receptacle was very loose in the wall. The shower door was off track. The toilet does not provide the proper spacing between it and the wall. The bathroom window is a sheet of opaque plastic... no security. The laminate flooring has been wet and is beginning to curl.... Some pillows were plastic covered... So my reaction was that I felt bad about staying in that room and that when I got out of bed in the morning I felt just as bad about it. We left as early as possible in the morning and booked a room at a different hotel. Where they were kind enough to allow us to check in early.... The first thing we did was use the shower to scrub our selves!!!! Thankyou so much Hampton Inn!!! By the way, the lady at the desk was nice. However when we put our hand on the door knob, the dog laying at the base of the door inside began growling at us. 2nd red flag.... first was the parking situation.....!

The greatest part of staying there was the warmth and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I know, with time and renovation, it will be an amazing place to stay. Thanks for everything.

OK in a pinch

Room: comfortable size. Fridge and microwave. No phone. Cable TV w/ minimal channels. Uncarpeted wooden floor, which is ok fine, since it's cleaner. The one easy chair was VERY dirty. Right next to a GREAT breakfast place (Bagels and Bites).
