This was such a beautiful stay! 10/10 would recommend. The staff were super friendly and even gave me a free upgrade to a riverfront view. Breakfast buffet was such a pretty spread every morning. The hotel is modern and the rooms are lovely. We were very impressed with the level of professionalism of the staff. The front desk and restaurant staff were fantastic and helpful. Highly recommend!! The only caveat is the parking garage. Extremely difficult to maneuver a car, and we scraped the side and damaged our car.

The four of us, including our two sons who are in their early twenties, stayed for five nights in two rooms. The hotel managed to provide a twin room for the boys which was appreciated. The rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar. The location was good for us, although it is at the top of a hill so staying there keeps you in shape.

We had a very relaxing five days at the Altis, the staff were helpful, accessible and friendly throughout. The bottle of wine to welcome us was a lovely surprise. We made use of the excellent gym and spa facilities every day before hitting Porto. We loved the location and view of the Douro from our room - quiet but just a 15 minute walk into the centre or quayside.
