I enjoyed staying at Retreat Resort - it was quiet, walking distance to a local fruit stalls, supermarket, and some of the tourist attractions. The staff were helpful as well as the owner who was available if needed. The facility had a bar with meals and that was a benefit too.

Recommendable

We had a really good time at Retreat Seaside. The bar has a nice view and is a great place to socialize. The staff is very friendly and Chris the manager is a great guy. Good value for money.

My 3rd stay at Retreat Seaside and staff,food and atmosphere continue to make you come back Overlooking the lagoon with a lovely pool the aussie owners Andrew and Dan with their staff are always friendly and onsite to make sure you enjoy your stay They have a number of room options depending on your budget and in my opinion the best pizza’s in Vila The hamburgers and chicken schnitzel are also fresh and mouth watering Happy hour from Tuesday to Sunday 3-6 and it is a sports bar with all the latest sport on 3 screens , darts and axe throwing competitions and a lively fun mixed crowd in most nights Highly recommended

Retreat seaside is a cute place to stay. I stayed for few days. It was awesome. The guy who runs this place his name is Dan, very friendly guy. And the rest of the staff are kind and nice as well.

The breakfast is not well prepared, those bread are wet. Those facilities are broken. Kettle can not be opened. The toaster doesn’t work. The fan in some of the rooms don’t work, etc. The twin room is without window.

Friendly place for solo travellers

The family who own it and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The bar and dining area is really nice and it was really easy to get chatting to people (there seemed to be mostly solo travellers when I was there). There is a pool with sun beds and a great view over the lagoon. The food is good and the WiFi works!

The owners are very hospital and nice. The place has everything you need and the location is fairly conveniently. I’d stay here again.

I have been to Vanuatu for the first time.　This hotel is so good view . I don't say tｈｉｓ　hotel is comfortable.(Sorry) But the staff were so kindness! They helped me many times! I recommend here to all friend. I had a very good time here ! Thank you!!

Not the best experience

Seaside resort Unfortunately not the best experience. Place was quite over priced for what it is. Upon booking it is said a continental breakfast is included however please note this is cornflakes and milk and bread. (A toaster is provided to toast your bread if you prefer) I would suggest if you decided to stay here to ensure all valuables and money is locked away or with you when you are out of your room. On a good note the owners are extremely friendly and accomodating. Food is same priced as all other resorts and restaurants. Food is very nice

Interesting propriety on lagoon side.

Interesting propriety on the lagoon side of Port Vila. Still under construction, although no work (= no noise) while I was staying there. Very clean except maybe the swimming pool (I don't swim in pools if water's so cloudy I don't see walls or bottom). Good food. Nice friendly family-owned place. 15 minutes walk over the hill to get to downtown Port Vila or minibus. I liked the fact that the walk allowed me to see how and where people live.
