"We stayed in the Churchill Room which was very comfortable. The food was fantastic with a great choice of wines. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble, would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel. "

"Not a very friendly welcome and no help with luggage ( no elevator). Friendly breakfast gal and a pub and eatery downstairs and right next door. Waterfront walk if weather is nice"

Knockinam lodge was more than I hoped for..it was the most peaceful, calm, uplifting, classy, elegant old world quiet place you can imagine. Bucolic scenes all the way there, steps from the ocean, seals popping out of the water, michelin rated unbelievable food, great service, large rooms with huge bathrooms, and tubs the size of a hot tub! They had a bar in a room like setting with dark paneled walls, great views and tons of flowers with high ceilings and greatest crown moulding I ever saw....

This hotel was in an amazing location. The view was INCREDIBLE. It is a very old property but they do a good job of trying to keep it clean, maintained and updated. It wasn’t the Ritz Carlton by any means, but it was good enough for what we needed. Close to an AMAZING golf course (walking distance) which also had a very challenging par 3 course. The staff were very helpful and we would stay here again. Food was just ok but breakfast was included in our stay so it was fine.

Unique and gorgeous hotel in the Irish coast to stay at before catching a ferry to Ireland. We arrived late, so give yourself enough time to have dinner and enjoy the morning. If you’re catching the P&O ferry at 8 AM, you probably need to leave at 6 AM to properly get in the queue, so plan accordingly. It’s a once in a lifetime experience though!

Stayed here on a visit to Wigtown in late August 2026. Communication was great with multiple emails confirming reservation and instructions. Although there are no staff of duty the instructions on how to get the key were timely and detailed and we had no problems at all getting in and checking out, and we arrived late. The bunkhouse is clean, smelled fresh, and the rooms were nice. We stayed in rooms 1 & 3 and it was lovely. Also very quite! The bathrooms were modern, very clean, and well...

It's a simple, but clean and comfortable place to stay. Easy to find, ample parking, lovely area to walk around. Jenny and Penny were so friendly - I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Thank you, Barholm Accommodation!

This is a room above a pub. It is the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. It is small but functional with a comfortable bed. The staff are excellent and extremely accommodating. Breakfast is free and so is the clean fresh air. Food is excellent and the place is pet friendly. Its about 35 mins to the ferry but worth the journey.

Great location. An easy walk to the train station and all points in Belfast. The restaurant is excellent and the view if the harbor is outstanding. Beats driving into Belfast and finding parking.
