Elegant, comfortable, excellent value for money

A very comfortable and elegantly furnished place, with many nice touches. And the breakfast is suberb, and prepared and served by wonderful staff. The house also has a lo ely setting on the edge of a reserve, with lovely outlooks from the balcony. Excellent value for money.

This is a lovely guest house with wonderful hosts. We cannot say enough about the great hospitality, spacious room, beautiful gardens, and delicious breakfast. The guest house is in a quiet neighborhood, but it was so easy and inexpensive to get Ubers to take us anywhere we wanted to go in town. Our stay exceeded every single one of our expectations. We would highly recommend this is a place to stay if you want to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the area, yet be a very short drive to dining and the beach.

Simply amazing

From the time that we walked in until we left, our Hosts and their staff treated us extremely well. Our room was amazing and the cooked to order breakfast was well done. Fresh fruit, yogurt, granola many different varieties of tea and at least 6 different kinds of jam were offered. I can see why Amery House has so many great reviews. We definitely recommend staying here.

A Weekend to Remember

We had an amazing stay.. the host was friendly and welcoming to a point. The interior of the guest house is exquisite 5 star material. The room was spacious and the overall cleanliness of the guest house was top notch. They were skimping on the breakfast with not much options. For instance I don't eat pork so instead of being offered an alternative it was just left like that.

Beautiful guesthouse

This is really a beautiful, clean and very nice guesthouse. Lovely rooms, spacious with everything you need. Secure parking. Good breakfast but horrible coffee. Because I am a coffee lover and due to Amery House's horrible coffee, I will unfortunately not return, and this is my only negative reason.

The room was very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The TV did not work and possibly wasn't attended to (while we were out) after bringing this to the managers notice. There was a misunderstanding about the 'free' breakfast that was offered during the booking, resulting in some agitation (not from me) which put a damper on our stay. Did not stay for the reluctant breakfast offer.

Lovely

Very beautiful place! Even better in person. Room looks bigger in pictures but still beautiful. Did not get a chance to try out the breakfast but the eating setting looked great. The only issue I have is there should be outside entrance to rooms as the opening and locking of front door can be a bit tedious. Also it should be mentioned there are dogs and those who are scared of doors should be careful.
