We did not have a good experience at this motel. It took 5 different trips back to the office to get the key card to open the door. The desk clerk finally reset the lock for it to work. Stepping into the room I was overpowered by the awful smell. It was unacceptable. I asked to cancel the reservation, but it was non refundable. I was offered a different room. The smell was not as bad, and as it was getting late, we just made due. The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed because the door jamb was broken, like the door had been kicked in. At least the bed was ok. We stayed in 5 different properties during this road trip and the other 4 were great. The pictures on Expedia made this place look much better than it actually is. Lesson learned.

We booked in for a quick overnight before catching the ferry. I tried to contact the property several times to get a room change or add a cot to our room. My calls and messages were never returned. When we arrive at 9:30, half an hour before closing, the office was closed. I called and they had left our key in a box but didn’t even know about my messages. We made it work (my one son slept on a hard couch that folded open like a futon but was incredibly stiff with a metal bar along the middle. Cleanliness was superficial. New paint but lots of dings. The AC unit dusty and I did not dare turn it on. The bathroom had no lock and was missing a cupboard handle. The freezer was full of frost and unusable. The headboard of the bed was covered in dust. But the worst part was waking up wlamd finding hairs in the bed (black…. My husband is bald and my hair is red) and also a few ants around. Overall I would not stay here again. It’s a dive.

I needed an afordable clean, safe, last minute stay when I had to stay in town to help a sick relative. The staff were friendly and caring, and I had everything I needed. The road noise might have bothered me, but I sleep with earplugs no matter where I sleep, so I was fine.

I don’t think this property welcomed pets. The room was clean, no bedbugs or anything. However it is a bit dated and the TV in our room wasn’t working. So we didn’t watch any movies or shows on our trip. If you want to save money and have a clean place to sleep I would recommend this. It is an older property and there was some wear and tear in the rooms and bit of black mold growing behind the toilet. It wasn’t the best hotel but it wasn’t the worst either, my sister and I made it work.
