"I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay after trekking or touring the Maras salt mines, the Sacred Valley, or Machu Picchu. We stayed here after our four-day trek on the Inca Trail. "The room was clean and well situated. Breakfast was very good quality and the staff was always pleasant and willing to help with any requests. Between my two stays (I was gone 4 days for the Inca Trail), the staff kept my luggage safe on their location and I found it waiting in my room when I returned. Everything was top notch. I was at Tierra Viva 14 years ago when I first went to Peru and it was my first choice returning this year. I do not regret that choice and would make it again in a heartbeat if I returned."
