"Because I had never visited Los Alamos when the booking said the place was located in Downtown I had envisioned a more traditional urban city center and not such a small village. But that's on me. As for the Canyon Inn itself it was centrally located, clean and relatively quiet. I also wasn't quite expecting the room to be a extra room in someone's residence but it was spacious and more comfortable than I thought it would be. The owners were friendly but not intrusive. "We enjoyed our two-night stay at the Pueblo Bonito. After our first night, we had an issue with the shower unit in our suite. Thankfully the hotel moved us to another room, fully resolving the issue. Both suites were lovely, comfortable, and well-stocked for cooking simple meals. The office staff were friendly. The location is excellent and very walkable for Sante Fe. This is a historic hotel and as such has some quirks, but it's a great value for staying downtown. "
