Rustic Charm

We love the rustic charm of this quality cottage. It was perfect for our visit, warm and clean, charming! The restaurant is also very delicious, we had breakfast and dinner with them daily! We will be back !

This was the perfect tree lined cabin retreat. We stayed here for 6 nights during our time exploring Plitvice Lakes National Park. This place felt peaceful and like a step back in time. Wood fired BBQ, hammocks and outdoor seating areas were nice. Pet friendly for our little pup. Everything was clean and well maintained. You need a vehicle here, same as other places in the area. I’d stay again and highly recommend!

Fairy tale hotel

This place is like a fairy tale, we absolutely loved Rústico! It’s so green, the little cabins and rooms are perfect for one or two nights to visit the park. The lady who welcome us was so sweet and nice. Also, the people at the restaurant were very nice and the food was incredible! Thank you for such a wonderful experience

Perfect stop on our way to Plitvice Lakes National Park, which was roughly a 15 minute drive. Room was clean, staff were helpful, and the nearby restaurant where we checked in and out had great food. Highly recommended.

Clean, comfortable, great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is in a quiet street, but only a few minutes’ drive from the national park entrances. Rooms are simple, but comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, better than many accommodations I’ve stayed in. The lodging is under the same ownership as a nearby restaurant, where we had tasty breakfast and dinner, and friendly service.

Check-in at Bistro, complimentary drink of our choice on arrival. Owner took us to the house which is situated in parkland a few minutes drive away. The room was very clean and tidy, had all amenities. We walked to the Bistro to eat - generous portions & delicious food. Richard was our server, he was very welcoming, attentive & spoke excellent English always happy to help with recommendations from the menu. We had some laundry done while we were there, very quick turn around at a very reasonable price - with a smile too. You need a car to stay & see the beautiful Plitvice Lakes. Everyone was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble - would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at House Rustico. It is about a 15-20 mins drive away to Plitvice national park, and it is located in a nice little town near a forest. The room is big, clean and is well equipped. Vila Velebita is at the other side of the small town, and is the place where you have to collect the keys to your rooms. Vila Velebita is also a great option for dinner and breakfast, it offers traditional cuisine and has a nice atmosphere with traditional Croatian music. When we stayed in house Rustico there was a bear in the surrounding forest that made quite some noise during the night. It was also an interesting experience to walk back from Vila Velebita in the dark to house Rustico while we saw garbage containers overturned and a (fresh) drool trail of the bear. This is of course not the hotel's fault, but keep in mind that the surroundings contain wild life. We stayed in the hotel during September in which bears enter hyperphagia (feeding frenzy) so that explains the bear's behavior.

Really cute location and nice people. The check in is at the restaurant where you are greeted with a welcome drink (of your choice). The room was quite nice. The bed was 2 twins made together, but this seems to be the standard throughout Croatia and Italy? Would recommend if you need accommodations near the Park (10 minute drive).

Wonderful Hotel, Great Location

We had a fantastic stay at House Rustico! We were welcomed at the nearby Restaurant Vila Velebita with a complementary drink. Everyone was really friendly and the check in was really straightforward. The property is very close by and is in a relaxed, quiet location with plenty of parking and a nice place to sit outdoors. The room was super comfortable, very clean and we felt very relaxed there. The check out was very simple and was also at the restaurant where we had an excellent breakfast before our day at the Plitvice Lakes National Park. I highly recommend staying here!
