Staff was friendly. Room is renovated but poor renovation finishes. Buffet food had lots of options but food was okay. Bars had premium alcohol. Restaurants that needed reservations were beautifully renovated. Food was okay. Beach had seafood. Pool was nice. Property was big, was getting at least 10000 steps daily.

We loved our stay at Grand Sunset Princess! We stayed in the platinum suite and loved the amenities we had. The staff were extremely attentive and kind -- our drinks were never empty! The spa services were great -- clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a getaway!

I had a wonderful stay in Grand Sunset Princess Resort. Lots of activities for both adult and kids. Delicious food and lots of restaurants to choose. All of the staff that I encountered were so accommodating. Although there are some seaweeds in the shore, there are parts of the beach where you can relax and chill.

This was our second straight year there. Loved it even more. They’ve so much work on renovations. Like the tubes/slides, the buffets, restaurants, ice cream shop, etc. We’ll go back again.

The rooms were clean and air conditioning was great. We had garden view rooms that was nice and peaceful the way we liked it. Staff was always friendly and offered assistance when asked. The pools were fun with two swim up bars. The kids liked the slides. When we went to the beach it was very weedy and not ideal for swimming. But after a bit of rain the beach seems to be better with less seaweed. The grounds and restaurants were clean and food was good.

Our family had an awesome time staying at this resort! The only improvement opportunities I can share are: My wife and I came to celebrate our 25th anniversary and have a vow renewal ceremony. The room we were given had two small beds rather than a king bed. It took two days to get switched to a room with a king bed. A large portion of the resort was closed for remodel but this was not disclosed prior to us arriving. Food at La Hacienda was not good. Very bland flavor and could not even eat my steak. Reservation restaurant food should be better than the buffet. Other than these things, we really enjoyed our stay. All staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful.

We stayed at Grand Sunset Princess Resort and overall had a great family experience. The property is very large, so expect a lot of walking, but the grounds are beautiful and spacious. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and quick to assist with any needs, including room issues and food allergies. Daily themed dining and nightly entertainment kept things fun. Food was decent overall—Mexican tacos and ceviche were the highlights. Some restaurants were closed, and the twin resort is still under construction. Reservations are required through the app or concierge. The beach had sargassum during our stay, and red flags were up. The water can be rocky near shore, so swim shoes are recommended. Sand quality isn’t ideal for building sandcastles. Pools were plentiful, though the kids’ splash features weren’t running. Rooms were clean, spacious, and beautiful, but had a noticeable damp smell that affected our clothes. Extras included shuttle service to Quinta Avenida (~$5), on-site photographers ($20/photo), and reasonably priced excursions. Overall, despite a few drawbacks, our family had a wonderful time and would consider coming back

Amazing trip and will absolutely be back! We got a swim out room and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So nice to be able to hangout close to our room, swim down to the bar or go to the beach. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Staff is all very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and drinks are fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Recibimos un trato degradante y ofensivo por parte del Gerente De premium. Había un pequeño error en la reservación con Expedia que pronto nos resolvieron ustedes, pero no nos dio opción de hacerlo. Nos corrieron literal del hotel y una vez que Expedia modificó la reserva regresamos y todavía se negaba a darnos la habitación, diciendo que no les había llegado un correo pésimo Servicio por parte de la gerencia en especial para los clientes de Expedia. Overall the experience was acceptable. There were a few issues that need to be addressed. 1) Useless Beach : the sargassum sea weed made the beach unappealing for most of the 9-day stay. The water was too shallow and rocky to swim in. The water perimeter was too close to the beach and if you crossed the line, the lifeguards would whistle even if the water is only at waist-level. 2) Lack of Activities : there were no activities passed 10 pm. I felt like there was a curfew going on. 3) Staff : the staff was decent however their effort was clearly based on tips. If you don't tip, they will do anything to avoid serving you. 4) Inadequate wifi: the wifi was spotty and only worked if you were next to the router. Clearly there are repeaters on each building but they weren't up to task. 5) Restaurant Differentiation : the premise offered many a-la-carte restaurants however the quality was only marginally better than the buffet. In most cases the buffet was a better choice than the restaurants.

My experience at this resort was magnificent, the rooms were so clean and comfortable. The food , drink were nice. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Average all inclusive hotel. Many of the rooms and sections of the resort were under construction. The seaweed on the shore of the beach was so bad you couldn't get in the ocean. Activities were often not at the time scheduled. The water from the shower leaked through to the toilet area and out into the vanity area. The buffet food was decent. Maids came in the room when do not disturb light was on. The Internet was horrible. The website was not easy access to schedule dinners and look up activities. All in all it was a good stay but there is definitely room for improvement.
