Our room was great, and most of the staff were wonderful. However, our experience with security and concierge was very disappointing and did not reflect the level of service we expected from a well-known resort.
My husband fell down the stairs during our stay, and instead of approaching him to ensure he was okay, staff members shouted from a distance asking if he was fine. No one came over to properly assist or check on him. It felt dismissive and uncaring. In that moment, we truly felt unsupported. I can’t help but feel that if my husband were not Hispanic, the response may have been different.
Additionally, I found a cockroach in my beach towel. When I reported the issue (room 3202), the response was minimal. There were no sincere apologies, no follow-up, and no effort to check on us afterward while we were at the beach. We expected more concern and proactive service given the situation.
We were also part of a large group, and unfortunately, the concierge team seemed very uninterested in assisting us. Instead of helping coordinate or answer our questions, they directed us to wedding planning. Thankfully, we later encountered a supervisor who was extremely helpful, flexible, and genuinely eager to assist us. That experience was very pleasant and made a positive difference in our stay.
Overall, while parts of our stay were enjoyable, these incidents left us feeling undervalued and disappointed.
