"The resort was excellent. Clean, tons of amenities. Workers were pleasant. Room was comfortable. Did have a surprise bill at the end where they charged $60 per day for valet and $50 per day for resort fee. This should have been discussed beforehand."

"The location can’t be beat. Walk out the door to the gondola. It was great being in town and walkable to everything. The hotel was clean, spacious and comfortable and breakfast was great. The only negative was that the pillows were not up to the standard of everything else."

Not a destination city, but the hotel is central to a lot of interesting areas. But, next time, I would prefer to stay in a place that is manned and closer to the things we enjoyed, ie downtown Ouray, or Telluride even if it costs more.

Placerville was a low-key and cute little town. We found it to be a great alternative to Tellurude and more convenient for our purposes-hiking in Telluride, Ridgeway, and Ouray. Very friendly folks. Nce park and store.
