3/5 - Okay
Not a destination city, but the hotel is central to a lot of interesting areas. But, next time, I would prefer to stay in a place that is manned and closer to the things we enjoyed, ie downtown Ouray, or Telluride even if it costs more.

We always have a wonderful time when we stay at The Madeline. The food is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and lush, the amenities are fantastic and the staff is always courteous and helpful.

Great economic option to the more expensive Telluride hotels
Do not go
Beautiful and quiet but there are no amenities in the area.
Close to Telluride
Placerville was a low-key and cute little town. We found it to be a great alternative to Tellurude and more convenient for our purposes-hiking in Telluride, Ridgeway, and Ouray. Very friendly folks. Nce park and store.
