The original room we were assigned had a still wet, poorly cleaned pile of vomit between the two beds which I accidentally stepped in bare foot. It smelled terrible and I don't know how it was missed. We got assigned to a new room which was clean and fine, but something like that should have never happened.

I loved how close to Kennywood and Sandcastle we were. It was also only a 15–20-minute drive to downtown Pittsburgh to do the aviary. Overall great stay in a convenient location.

Something was wrong with the HVAC system. Our room had a door that was extremely difficult to open and close. The bathroom toilet was not secured to the floor - very shaky. The one chair in the room was so wobbly it was uncomfortable to sit in. The room wasn’t cleaned very well. We checked in late and were very tired so we didn’t ask for another room. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but after the first night, we checked out the next morning. There were actually rotting bananas at the free breakfast. It was a strange experience for a Hampton Hotel. The staff were friendly though.

A few things stood out for me- the shower had pressure and hot water, seems silly to some but are essential for me when I travel. The bed was also comfortable. The room was clean, the fitness room was well stocked, and the staff interactions were all professional and very kind. Overall, a fantastic place to stay!

Nice location with access to a path along the river and a mall with some dining options. Easy driving access to Pittsburgh. However, there were some major HVAC issues, both in shared spaces and in individual rooms. Staff was very kind and did what they could to be helpful.
