「We visited in September 2026 and, if you're visiting shortly after this date, expect a work-in-progress. Let's start with the amazing: outstanding gardens, pool, landscaping and just the general luxurious feel of the place. 「Run-down hotel. The pool needs to be looked after, the food was horrible, and the room had a kitchen but absolutely nothing in it - no utensils, pots and pots or plates. The breakfast and dinner is served in the hotel lobby. There are holes in the wall on the balcony, the trash was overflowing in the communal bins and the room was SO hot because the air conditioner couldn’t keep the room cold.」

「Our room was very small but fine for one night. The pool is fabulous but unfortunately the spa jets didn't work, and the outside bar service was haphazard. Coffee and cocktails were poor, served in plastic glasses, which felt far from glamorous, even when we were sitting some way from the pool. After explaining that we didn't want a large set dinner, we were pleased to be offered the supposedly four-course meal to share. But while it was good, it was absolutely tiny: barely enough for one...
