"Stayed in Junior suite in January. Room is very nice and comfortable, bathroom quite old and not so nice. Heating in the room can not be controlled, means you depend on the management to decide what temperature is the best for you :-( Service in the restaurant can be slow some times but the food in general was good. At check in they wanted to charge me for the room that was already paid through hotels.com but the next day the issue was settled. Some receptionists were new and therefore slow but...

"A charming place in a lovely location, run by a wonderfully kind owner. The bed was very comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfasts were really good. I will definitely come back — the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful too!"

"Absolutely fabulous for families with children of all ages. The area of Nassfeld has the motto “Nice Surprise” and it really was the nicest surprise to find this lovely hotel in this breathtaking part of the world. We travelled with our teen boys in the summer and they were active all day. From rock climbing (ages 6 and up) to swimming, to the children’s area (arcade style basketball was a big hit!) to mountain biking the local area, this hotel was outstanding. Breakfast had a delicious buffet assortment of fruits, veggies, omelettes, meats, cheeses, yogurts and breads- also excellent coffee options! The rooms were tidy and uncomplicated, with essential amenities. The shower had great, powerful flow (I mention this bc I can’t stand weak, dribbling showers) Apparently the winter had even MORE to offer, but our summer stay did not disappoint us in any way. Staff were efficient, friendly, and helpful. The teens have asked to return in the winter some day to ski, and we will happily return to the Franz Ferdinand!"

"Very rustic but modern cabin. Kitchen is very well set up. Bathroom is on the main floor with spiral staircase to the bedroom area upstairs. Put out couch on main floor which is not bad. Deck all around. Parking beside on grassy area. Beautiful view from all directions. No laundry in cabin. They provide a small container of coffee and some teas but bring your own salt and pepper."

"Super place to stay. This is the first time we have toured the Austrian Alps and this hotel was a great choice. As it was 'off' season, ie not winter as it's a ski resort. everything was all inclusive, food, alcohol etc. Spa was quite good but we only used the pool, which is heated and has an outdoor section. Food was very good, excellent selection, wide range of choice, and fresh. Hotel overall, although quite a big hotel, it is very well kept and clean."
