We didn’t know about then Friday through Sunday closing off of the road for pedestrians only; and the partying, but it was fun and busy at the river. It was loud but died out around 10 and we had no trouble sleeping. Staff very polite and helpful- and great pizza place next door Pop Shop Italian restaurant. Delicious! Wverutuung wa walkable!

Great location

Modern and clean hotel with unexpected amenities in our room. Location is great and along the riverside and near many walkable attractions. Restaurant service is spotty, food so so, and overpriced. There are many better options outside.

We had a suite, so the room was excellent. We had views of the river, which were nice and the facility was modern and clean. The only negative was no fitness center on site.

The KVL Hotel offers outstanding amenities and service. It falls in the class of hotel of grand luxury and top service. The attention to details is exceptional. The rooftop bar is very enjoyable and the decor is superb. Everyone was attentive and friendly.

Hotel is at a very good location. Everything is walkable. 7eleven and other convenience stores are 1 min walk. Coffee shops are everwhere in walking distance as well. National museum is a 2-4 min walk. Royal palace is a a min or 2 walk from the hotel. 30-1 hr drive from the airport (depending time of day and traffic). Rooftop is amazing. It oversees the whole tonle sap and mekong river. The staff were very friendly. They even suggested restaurants to try and would help in any way they can if you need help in looking for tour guides or even a good place to eat. I was really surprised at the hotel as it exceeded my expectation. Very clean. They offer daily cleaning (if preferred) and would stock up your necessity supplies everytime they clean your room. Highly recommend and will stay here again in the future.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel KVL for 2 nights having chosen it due to its location - waterfront, and walking distance to the National Museum and Royal Palace which we wanted to see in our 1 day in Phnom Penh. I recommend getting the hotel to arrange airport transfers - takes the hassle out of getting to and from the airport. The rooftop bar overlooking Tonle Sap river is fabulous and the signature cocktails delicious. Plenty of different food options and friendly staff. Special shout out to General Manger Carl Sladen, who made the effort to introduce himself at lunch, and finding out we were Aussies and about to spend the next 9 nights in Siem Reap, surprised us at checkout with a gift - a jar of Vegemite! Many thanks Carl and team, we very much enjoyed our brief stay at Hotel KVL and highly recommend it to all visiting Phnom Penh.

New hotel, good location, bit pricey

Nice hotel. Very new. No pool, no gym. They will drive you to a super nice gym but it's 20 minutes away. Room safes not screwed down to anything. In Cambodia not a good thing. Bear in mind that if you book a basic room with a king bed, you will have a window that faces inside. A dark inside so it's basically no window. I had booked a city view, but their was some push back when we checked in. They did finally put us in a room with a window with a city view. Hotel is not inexpensive. Roof deck and restaurant is very nice with Spanish food and live bad. Highly recommend, but again not inexpensive. We spent $ 178.00 for 2. With wine and dinner during happy hour.
