The staff in general was very kind. Our room was very quiet which we appreciated, and I must say the best part of this hotel would be the bed! Extremely comfortable mattress and even more comfortable pillows…they would not provide us with two duvets as they said, they did not have the inventory for that which I found odd. I realize this is a small hotel however, this is not an extremely unusual request in the hospitality industry to have a bed made up German style. Unfortunately the other issue that occurred was the housekeeping crew threw away my bag of freshly purchased pastries, and entire cake. Although they did provide us with a late check out, I don’t feel that this was compensation enough. The staff member that I reported the issue with was extremely kind and apologetic, and also apologized on behalf of The person working in the housekeeping department that afternoon. That being said I think management should have made more of an effort to remedy the situation and compensate for it. The location is great, but don’t have high expectations in terms of amenities.

This little gem of a hotel is within walking distance of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Rodin garden and The Franklin Institute. Clean, incredibly quiet and affordable, safe parking a block away.

Perfect location for Philly Love run! Next to the ‘Rocky stairs’ & close to Whole Foods. Clean room, view of intersection and park across the way. Comfortable bed. Great little kitchen area with coffee, kettle & French press. Robe & slippers were a nice touch.

I loved the location of this hotel, as it is so close to the art museums. If you have a car, parking can be a pain; but there are some outdoor lots you can arrange with for your car fairly close to the hotel. You can load/unload your car right in front of the hotel, which is helpful. If on check out day, you want to do some more touring, the front desk will hold onto your luggage, which is nice. The hotel is "boutique", but no frills -- which suited me just fine. There is no bar, e.g. The room was very clean, had an exposed brick, industrial look and a very comfortable bed. Plenty of clothing storage/hanging space, TV, fridge, safe, etc. And the bathroom is modern and adequate (lighting could be better; and the mirror has built-in technology), though there is very limited shelf/counter space for toiletries. The view out the window (for me) is of the backyards of the townhomes on the adjacent street. The staff were helpful and professional. There is a Whole Foods really close (with a restaurant) and other restaurants and taverns nearby. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The room was comfy but it had no fridge. The property is conveniently located to food and activities. The staff was very nice. We checked out a day early because there was a roaring sound over our room and my girlfriend had trouble sleeping.

Be prepared for minimalist amenities. No fridge (though available on request), no phone in the room, need your smart phone and their app to open and close the window shade, housekeeping every 3rd or 4th day, view from the room was only an alley and the back yards of some old houses, no comfortable chairs, 3 small drawers, cable tv did not work reliably and they didn't have anyone to fix it, and didn't seem to care. No complimentary breakfast. Pricey for what you get. On the other hand, beds and pillows were very comfortable, the place was clean and quiet, and the location in the museum district is great.

The noise from the heating/cooling unit in the room was unbearable couldn't sleep for three nights. Breakfasts were ok; not enough coffee and oj poured from a tropicana bottle. No view- overlooked back of nearby townhouses. Door to terrace locked, luckily, because no terrace, just a drop. But it is close to all the museums you could ever want to visit - Barnes, PMA, Calder, Rodin, Science, Moore.

Room was clean and staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Hotel was small and quaint and perfectly suited for our needs. The down side is very limited street parking only. The amenities were sufficient. Very modern and located near the museum. Only a short drive to tourist attractions like Terminal Market, Pat's Steaks, Geno's and a lot of nearby shopping and eateries. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
