The hotel is very well placed in Regua, near the train and bus stations and a short walk to the day-cruise quays and the town museum. Secure parking. Rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean. A big choice at breakfast, all of which was very good. Did not try dinner. Front desk staff enthusiastic and always helpful, particularly Paulo. Well deserved 4 stars.

Breakfast was good. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Expedia. I booked a room with breakfast but did not check the receipt, only to arrive and be told that breakfast was not included. A google check exposed that this is due to a glitch that expedia is aware of.

Front desk staff was welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfasts, and breakfast staff were very good. Housekeeping was also very good. Views from the hotel were beautiful and the location is excellent. Parking was relatively easy. Hotel pool and surrounding area was very tired looking and needed umbrellas or some sort of shaded area and decor. Rooms were very dated and carpet was very worn. We booked three rooms and two of the couples commented that their beds were uncomfortable and needed to be replaced. All of us felt that it was a good place to go if you are only staying for a short time. At one time this hotel would have been stunning. With some renovations it could be a real gem again.

Well… based on reviews it was supposed to be exceptional. First bump, breakfast was supposed to be included in our booking which was not the case. We had to pay in advance and got it reimbursed. Luckily for all parties we were traveling with a teenager and could spend hours on the phone to resolve the issue. 48 hours to our stay, breakfast is there. Cold bacon and eggs for 12€ per person is overrated, especially when you know that you can have a full meal for the same amount of. Then comes the pool: ONE umbrella available for the whole guests. Hotel was featuring pool side snack and bar: still waiting on that. They might have moved elsewhere. The sport room was “unavailable for the rest of our stay” My advice go there for 2 days, but not any longer. Housekeeping was nevertheless wonderful! Great work. Will not recommend it, if traveling with some expectations.
