Out of town, dated rooms
Location - a few minutes drive out of town, there is a walking path along the river to the centre of town, about 30 min walk. No restaurants nearby. Accommodation - walls are very thin, so you hear all the rooms around. Room furnishings and decor are dated, and room layout poor. No English language TV. Nice view over the pool... which was empty 🙁 Eating - substantial continental breakfast, plenty of fresh fruit Wi-fi - very poor, couldn't connect in room Summary - acceptable for an overnight stay.

Nice location. Average hotel.
Nice hotel just outside of the town centre. Pool was closed due to covid measures, however if it were to be open I imagine it would be lovely, since there is a view to the Douro river. Average hotel, outdated but clean

very affordable place for 1 or 2 nights
Staff member at Check In was extremely friendly&helpful. The Hotel is a bit outdated but for 1 night it's just right. Breakfast is fairly simple (no eggs) bur was included in the affordable room rate so can't complain.

The hotel its a good value for money. The staff are friendly, the food very basic but again, good. The only thing i wasn"t happy about was the noise coming from the aircon that kept me awake for 2 nights. I repported it to reception and been told that i wasn't the first one to complain about the noise

Overrated, a bit dirty, cramped, and not helpful — This hotel has some great marketing photos and reviews but they do not accurately reflect this property. My pillows were the most decrepit, trashed and mashed bags of useless fluff I’ve ever seen, the sheets felt dirty, the Blankets were musty, the bathroom hardly big enough to turn around inside, and the window shade release broke and I couldn’t close the shade. To top it off, when I asked the front desk if I could have some additional sheets, the man said no. On the plus side, water pressure was amazing, parking was secure, and the air conditioner worked.

This is a reasonable hotel
The room was a little on the smaller side. It was in reasonable condition and had a good size lobby area . We thought the breakfast was a little sparse. For the price it is a great value.

Very good quality for a budget price.
The Douro wine country is fascinating, easy on the eyes, and inexpensive. This hotel is a bit dated, but well-maintained. The staff were friendly to a fault. Breakfast a bit underwhelming, but at these prices (45 Euros per night with breakfast and parking) who could complain? Overall quite satisfactory.

Excellent hotel, beautifully modernised.
This is a really excellent place to stay. It is clean, comfortable, has free parking and a swimming pool, within a short walk of the historic centre, all at an exceptionally good price.

Utilitarian - don't spend much time there
Regua is a bit of a run-down town that I would not return to, and nearly everything in town looks just a bit shabby, so the hotel fits in, with the added downside of it being a 20-minute walk away from the town centre's restaurants and shops. We stayed 2 nights in order to do a full-day tour of the Douro Valley (I highly recommend CM Tour, who pick-up from the hotel), but wish I had departed on the evening train straight after the tour. The pool was nice - a good size. All I could eat at breakfast was a bread roll and kiwi, even the coffee was undrinkable, though a kind staff member made me a fresh espresso. Helpful staff. The room was fairly small and not very comfortable. We had a balcony, but it was covered in pigeon droppings as it had not been cleaned at all recently. The Lidl shop nearby is a blessing to get food and wine. Overall, if you need a clean place to stay near Regua, it's fine, but not if you're planning to spend much time in the room.

This place was wonderful, they had very nice accommodations with a close walk to town or ride a taxi if you prefer. The staff was excellent, they helped get our clothing clean and dry from the challenging weather we encountered. They had an excellent breakfast provided, especially having the hot warmer to get the food toasted. Thank you!

Great stay
This is a no frills hotel, it's clean, has comfortable bed, good size room, good breakfast, great services. Easy waking distance to the center of town. It has parking on premises. Very easy to get to it. I felt comfortable staying and would stay again if in the area. You can't beat the price.

Optimo Hotel para estadia de trabalho.
