Excellent quality for a great price

For the price, this hotel was outstanding. It is not modern and does not have great amenities, and it could use some new paint in places, but the stuff was excellent, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and it had a very impressive breakfast included. It is an easy walk to the train station. Next time I am in Pescara, I will not even bother to look for other options. The Ambra is my hotel in Pescara. The only negative thing I will say is that the cappuccino I got at breakfast was terrible.

The staff was outstanding, the room was clean and comfortable. It was a little on the small side, but only what is common for older European properties. There was a balcony, but the view was just the building across the street. The breakfast included was excellent. Conveniently located within walking distance of most things, especially transport. Got off our train from Rome, and we were at our hotel entrance in five minutes walking. Approximately a ten minute walk to the beach, with some wonderful cafes and gelato shops on the way. We will definitely stay here again.

We were offered 'on-site' parking for 15 Euro a day or the front desk suggested parking in the public municipal lot 1 block away for 4 Euros a day. The staffer pointed in the direction of the lot and suggested using that and saving money. Well, there are TWO municipal lots by the train station. I parked in the one that allows parking 6 days a week. The day of check out, went to retrieve the car, and it was not there. It had been towed away for the weekly Market. The new front desk staff person was helpful calling the police and tracking our car down. Taking the advise of the front desk employee to save 12 Euros in parking cost me 148 Euros in a parking ticket and tow truck charges.
