The hotel is In an ideal location and the staff were most welcoming. We chose to dine in as the meals were excellent and reasonably priced and the service good. Our room was good and the rate fair. It could however benefited from a small kettle to make a hot drink.

Well situated for city centre
Reception were friendly. Although free parking is advertised there are only a couple of spaces but with help from receptionist we found a space virtually next door- but did then have to lug all our cases around to the hotel. Room perfectly adequate for a short stay, and close to the city centre

Super location
Wonderful staff, nice and reasonably priced restaurant, large room (for France). Fabulous location. Only complaint was that there was no way to cool the room except opening the window.

The rooms were very hot because they decided that it was winter so they turned on the heat. We could not regulate the temperature in our room. So they told us to open the window to cool the room down. That was okay until nighttime when it seemed everyone was in the partying mood and we couldn’t sleep. Room service cleaned our room the first night but not the second night so the front desk staff had to do it.

Good hotel in a great location
This is a well located central hotel for visiting Perigeux. Everything is easily within walking distance. We were lucky to use the free parking across the road alongside the river, otherwise parking could have been an issue. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The room was an ok size and we were lucky to have an openable window overlooking the river. Our room was third floor and it was quiet. However we found the bed very uncomfortable and had little sleep! This would deter us from staying there again.

Very good situation between the river Charante and the cathedral. Very clean, pleasant bar indoors and out. Restaurant ok but would eat out next time. Room basic and lacks certain basic requirements. However very clean. Staff pleasant.

Ideal spit to explore Périgueux
Good value for money stay near the centre of Périgueux. You know what to expect with an Ibis and this was pretty much their standard fare but it is the location which is the biggest bonus, close to the vieux ville. The outside space is also attractive with views over the river.

The food was excellent. The breakfast with fresh yoghurt was particularly memorable. We did not like the fact that dogs were allowed in the dining room, (we have allergies) and that they did not warn us in time that the city would be closing the parking lot for the festival. Our car was impounded and that put a damper on our vacation. We did not have time to signal this to the reception as we had to leave in a hurry.

Good location, poor rooms.
The room was tiny, one of the smallest we've ever seen, barely big enough for 2 people with luggage.. The sound-proofing was also poor and we could hear conversations from other rooms. There was very little parking space at the hotel, although there was a large public car park nearby. However, the location is very good close to the river and the cathedral and old town. The restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. It's a shame the rooms didn't come up to the same standard.

Great location and viewd. Decent room, typical of chain hotel, only negative was we stayed here 30 april and air con is not operational until high season so room was too warm even with window open. Everything else, staff, restaurant and bar were well above my expectations of a chain hotel. Overall a great stay.

Excellent value for money and very convenient for visiting the city. Very attractive outdoor & indoor sitting areas. Meals were very good and the bar staff were attentive without being intrusive. Without doubt the best value hotel we have stayed in in France. cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great Location, comfortable bed
Great location near the Byzantium cathedral and next to the medieval town centre and river. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good shower although it can be very slippery getting out of the shower so be very careful.

Showers had warnings about being slippery.We put down towels but my wife slipped anyway and broke some ribs. A very bad experience. We told the staff about the fall, but they did nothing. If they knew the showers were slippery, they should have done something about it.

Very close to the Cathedral in Perigueux
I am staying for one night, spent all the afternoon and evening celebrating my friend's birthday, the hotel is just walking distance to the restaurant where all her friends at gathering and near to her home. So it's convenient.

From the outside everything looked great. Inside, reception area was reasonably bar and restaurant areas looked good, in the room the bathroom was small but well equipped and clean. However the bedroom was snug, but decor, while clearly resent was extremely basic. The bed was very comfortable. For the price it was reasonable value. Good location.

Nice hotel over looking the river
Nice hotel with a view of the cathedral from the back and the river in the front. Close to everything in the old town. The breakfast was very good with lots of fruits, bread, cake, meat, cheese, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice place to stay.

Perfect Location
I was not particularly impressed with the check-in as the receptionist answered the telephone twice while we were checking-in and kept us waiting. I found this quite rude. The hotel itself is in a wonderful location between the cathedral and the river and is ideally placed, within plenty of parking along the riverbank. The hotel accommodation itself is a little dated and in need of some refreshing, though for the price it was reasonable. Breakfast is the standard Ibis fare, perfectly adequate with reasonable choice (the madeleines are particularly good and there are pancakes too), though without the cooked breakfast to be found in a Mercure. Still. for the price, the breakfast is good. The hotel is also a very short walk to our favourite restaurant (Hercule Poirot) which is definitely a bonus.

A really good hotel
We were on a 1 night stopover and arrived fairly late, but the restaurant was open until 10.30 and the food and chocie was fine. Breakfast in the morning was equally satisfactory. Parking in front of the hotel is limited but the was space to unload the car and plenty over space in the free quayside carpark opposite. Rooms are ok, a little small but well laid out and clean. Location is great, overlooking the river and virtually in the town centre. It was market day when we were there and it was a pleasure the wander round the many stalls.

Overall a better than good experience for five nights. Hotel is well located: restaurants, cafes, shops and outdoor market just up the hill. Staff was accommodating in every way. Had dinner in the hotel one night and 3 of 3 thought it was good! Did not eat breakfast there. Free Wifi was never a problem. Room size is an issue--rooms are tiny hence the lower score. Would come back.

Great location - lovely Hotel and staff
We booked late to stay in Perigueux for our Silver Wedding anniversary to be able to enjoy the annual music festival. Delighted at Hotel appearance, location, beautiful bar, staff were excellent - very helpful! Will definitely stay here again - we are always pleased with the quality vs value of Ibis hotels particularly in France (which is generally when we use them).

Not too bad
The overall experience was OK. The room could have been just a little bit bigger and the towels were very small and mean and they remained wet overnight. With a little imagination and care, the overall interior decor could have been much more sympathetic. As it was the room was a rather depressing mix of different woods and orange walls.
