Hotel Arsa Santhi was an absolutely lovely place to stay. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The grounds, including a garden and a pool, were beautiful. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a luxurious large bed. The wifi worked but was not perfect. Breakfast was included and was delicious with generous portions. We were dropped to the fastboat port for free. Overall, an extremely enjoyable stay.

I’m so conflicted about this review so I’m just going to preface this by saying the staff and GM are WONDERFUL and nice people. We were supposed to check out after 4 nights but ended up checking out after the first night. The GM refunded me the 3 nights we didn’t stay immediately and apologized profusely. They did try to move our room but we were so cranky and mad after having a horrible sleep/experience that we didn’t want to stay. We arrived and there was a ton of locals staying here. This is obviously fine except they’re very loud. The wifi was super spotty and barely worked. The hotel is near a mosque so be prepared to wake up at 4am everyday. (We had just experienced this on Gili T for the last 5 days so we were excited to sleep in). The room had a really weird smell - I think it’s their cleaning products cause the room did appear clean. In the morning we were first awoken by the mosque and once we fell back asleep the guests beside us were being incredibly loud and smoking. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the rooms were sealed but they aren’t. So at 6am I woke up to our room filled with cigarette smoke. I’m not a smoker so this made me instantly nauseous and furious. I give this review 3* because the manager did tell us the big group that was causing issues was leaving that day so this may have been a one off experience.

Small property. Communication is difficult as not everyone speaks English and those that do you run into some miscommunications. We’re helpful with transportation but was overpriced and unreliable. We booked a ride to the port with them the night before, when we showed up at the time for the taxi it was clear they were not prepared and had given the car away so they had to call someone to drive us. We had checked out a day early as we preferred the mainland and they hadn’t realized until our bags were being boarded on the boat. Location is near port but very far from all attractions. Bathrooms could use an upgrade as well.

The staff was friendly and I was welcomed with watermelon juice. Also, they were very kind in picking me up from the port. The meal I had was great, although the items on the menu were more exspensive. The mattress was uncomfortable. The doors are sliding and can move easily and bathroom facilities weren’t that great. The pool looked nice, but all spots to lounge by it were taken. Be ready to listen to loud music from the bar early morning until late. I’m talking 6am! If you want more of a hostel type environment it will work for you, but if you want peace and relaxation it’s not the place.

Good location
Hotel is just 2-minute drive from the Banjar Nyuh (Toyah Pakeh) harbour where the Angels Billabong fast cruise runs to and fro Sanur Beach harbour in mainland Bali. Room was clean, bed was huge. It’s a very good hotel considering that the island is not too developed yet. Wifi was moderate. Highly recommended for those who want to explore Nusa Penida for a few days

Very nice place to stay, close to the pier and a few markets. The hotel staff were all amazing and extremely friendly. The hotel itself was very nice and for the price you, well worth it. They are improving their area as you can notice changes being built and will make this place even better in the future. The only negative comments I have are that is it near a temple area and when they have a ceremony, it can play from 6pm to midnight as it did for us and it's over a loud speaker which was very annoying. The WiFi was also pretty poor but considering where you are....I suppose that's anticipated but non the less could be better. Overall, great place and I'll gladly return.

Hi Robert, Thank you so much for your feedback. For the ceremony in the temple held once in 7 months, its part of the local culture. For wifi we already using 2 providers to have back up, we are considering to find new solution or upgrade it since we also rely on Internet for our business.

Séjour sympa à cet hôtel. Par contre il faut prévenir pour qu’ils viennent vous chercher. C’est à 5km du port de ferrie (31000rp/pers l’aller ou le retour alors que c’est 100000rp voir plus par speed boat)

Hôtel sans prétention offrant néanmoins de bonnes prestations. Le personnel est, à l’image de l’ile, très charmant. Mention spéciale au serveur du restaurant. Petit bémol pour le petit-déjeuner, très moyen et en effet pancake pas cuit. C’est un bon hôtel pour Nusa Penida

Friendly staff
The room was clean but bed sheets and towels got some little stains but nothing big. Sometimes they forget to bring more soap or coffee during the daily cleaning but that's not a very big deal either. The bed was huge and comfortable, ac was working well and shower got hot warter and good pressure. The breakfast was ok, you choosed it from the menu. The pool area and the garden were very nice and clean. Staff was always smiling, friendly and helpful, thank you! We think that the hotel was good value for your money and we would choose it again.
