COVID-19 may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't stifled our lust for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to handle travel's new challenges:

• Find out the restrictions and rules in both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check in advance.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it straight on the scanner yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on bag. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to take it out of your bag for scanning.
• Empty your personal items from your pockets, such as your wallet and phone, and put them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• If you're taking food through the screening checkpoint, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
