「Beautiful room and location - this guesthouse only features 1 bedroom (a minute walk away from the host's house) and is quite isolated. Perfect to spend time in silence, reading or meditating. There are a few guesthouses a couple of minutes walk and it is literally 5 minute walk from one of the entrances to the national park. The host is wonderful and is a guide himself, - his wife cooks great meals (recommended the vibe rice option).」

But, it is not that easy to get to, The road to the bungalow is largely unpaved and steep but, for us, that was all part of the attraction. The surroundings are beautiful - lush green jungle, beautiful rice paddies, local temples etc. But, if you don't have your own vehicle then it is not possible to get out at night. 「For us 33 Lake Terrace was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautifully designed, the location at the lake is so peaceful and beautiful - simply amazing.
