The Cam Brook Valley From a cornfield north of Peasedown we are looking due west along the valley of the Cam Brook. It is possible to see a few buildings south of Timsbury on the right hand edge about 3/4 of the way up. This valley was at the heart of the North Somerset coalfield and was serviced by the Somerset Coal Canal running at its foot as far as Radford Basin until the railway made it unprofitable. Parts of the line can still be found.

Having an area in the hotel to relax around the pool was lovely. Although you will need to book time to use it. Shops were all very close and just 15 min walk to the station Great bar across the road with line music on Saturday night

The room was nicely furnished (including with antiques, which is an unusual touch), coffee for the machine in the kitchen, clean. Location handy both for Whiteladies Road and the city centre. I emailed asking about parking on site but received no response whatsoever, which was disappointing.

The natural beauty of this campus is one of the reasons I chose to apply to this university.
