4/5 Good

This is a very beautiful boutique hotel. The design, layout, pool, lighting, even the round cylindrical floor to ceiling fish tank in the dining area is wonderful. I found a few things disappointing. First was the cleanliness in the room (women’s hair on the tile floor) and lack of basic necessities such as hand soap, Q-tips, toothbrushes. A housekeeping supervisor is the person who usually double checks the housekeeping staff but that person may not exist due to the issues with Covid. An additional problem was the TV channels. No USA stations but it really wasn’t a major issue since I didn’t travel there to watch TV. However the electronic keypad to control the lights individually was definitely a pleasant surprise.
Second had to do with the breakfast buffet. There were three serving times 630-730, 730-830, 930-1030. When I arrived at 10 AM there was no food left anywhere (of the 10 major items) other than rice. When the hostessed asked me what my room number was, I said why bother. There’s nothing here to eat. Not even orange juice and there was still 30 minutes before the breakfast buffet ended. I said forget it I’ll go across the street to Starbucks. If you’re booking a room, don’t bother to pay the extra price for the free breakfast. Unless you’re eating at 6:30, you’d be better served finding a local breakfast place.
It was an pleasant stay and not expensive. If you have kids, stay here. They have a nice pool with water slides. It’s Not for single guys.
