Was left stranded outside the gate with no access no instructions. Gate would not open even though wr drove up to it. Phone lines dead. Had no option but to drive away feeling very sad and extremely dissapointed. Drove off into the dark desert looking for a last minute booking which ended up being 1.5 hours drive away. Management said no refund once they finally contacted us in a new telephone number that neither us or hotels.com had been provided with. Still waiting for some sort of apology for ruining the last night of our holiday

L'hotel est en cours de renovation. Malheureusement, nos 2 chambres ne l etaient pas encore ! Salle de bain minuscule avec toilette incluse. On nous a proposé de faire un petit tour dans la réserve en 4x4. Cela nous a été facturé 300 Rand soit env 18,50 euros par personne:pour 45 mn: tres cher pour voir 2 springboks. Globalement, tres décevant...il n'y a aucun intérêt à être hébergé dans cet hôtel car les safaris se font dans les réserves privées des environs

Great hospitality in a remote place

Loodt was very helpful. He suggested to pick us in the night from a nearby train station, on a short notice and with no extra payment. The staff were great and kept adapting to the young kids food request (great Lasagna!) The garden is a magnificent place for kids - lots of nice paths to run in between. The remoteness has its advantages -sky full of stars in the evening

Home away from Home

Als Highlight unserer Südafrika Reise haben wir uns den Addo National Park vorgenommen. Ausgangspunkt für uns war die Lodge. Wir würden sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Service war super. Die Gastfreundschaft war sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr aufgeräumt. Die Matratzen sind gut. Das Inventar ist etwas älter, jedoch insgesamt sehr gut. Das Frühstück ist sehr familiär und ein guter Start in den Tag!
