Pre-river cruise stay.

Room was comfortable and clean and service was great. Only negatives were the stairs (we were on the top floor) and the noise from the bar below.

Great location. Set in refurbished historical house so might not suit people with mobility issues. If you're happy with this the proximity to tourist sights and dining options combined with the reasonable tariff make it a good choice.

Charming

I loved this hotel - full of character, with spacious rooms, and right in the heart of the beautiful old town (10 mins walk from the station). The only downside was the absence of lift.

Couldn't access since no receptionist was present and access code eas sent a fay after arrival. We had to find an alternate lodging in the middle of the night after 8 hours of travel.notice of late arrival was given to hotel.

Older building in the heart of Passau, making it very easy to explore the city on foot. Many eating establishments nearby, but be aware that many are closed on Mondays and/or Tuesdays. Note that there is NO elevator and the reception desk is on the “2nd” floor from street level. Our room with “private” bathroom was on the “3rd” floor. This was a bit difficult for us 70/80 year olds to lug our suitcases up and down the old stairs! Also the bathroom was not ensuite, but all the way down the hallway, which made it inconvenient for the night time visits. Our room was large, with a writing table and sofa. We had to turn up the heat in the room, since in was not “preheated” for us. Overall a nice place to stay- for younger folks!

Hotel in altem Haus. Zum Teil denkmalgeschützt, was aber keine Entschuldigung für Unsauberkeit ist. Der Blick aus dem Fenster zeigt eine ehemalige Terrasse mit z.T. vermoderten Trümmern. WC und Duschen sind auf dem Gang. Nachts sehr umständlich. In den Duschen liegen zerknüllte Handtücher auf dem Boden. Da sind 120 Euro für ein Doppelzimmer schon abendteuerlich.
