Functional hotel with excellent location, room was good size, but bathroom was a bit small. Room was cleaned daily, but maintenance could have been better as the room is a bit dated. Bed was comfy and neighbourhood is quiet and safe.

This charming, quiet hotel was perfect. Well-located just around the corner from Cimitière Montparnasse and steps away from Gare Montparnasse, there were other metro stations close by as well. The air conditioning was excellent (it was during a heat wave) and the breakfasts were great.

We enjoyed an amazing 2 nights at Hotel Mistral. The staff were incredibly kind & helpful - from the front desk to all the folks managing the breakfast room. The breakfast was fabulous & had a myriad of tasty options - my favorite were the perfectly scrambled eggs. The bed & linens were exceptional. Great location near Gare Montparnasse & Rue Daguerre, where we enjoyed several lovely meals. We hope to return soon.

If you want to get just that bit out of the busy centre, you would do far worse than choose Montparnasse. Plenty to see culturally and a great place for foodies and the Theatre too. Underground and mainline trains all within a few minutes walk. Hotel Mistral was perfectly located as a base to do your exploring. No frills, but a very clean 'house' with welcoming staff and set in an off-shoot from the main drag, so was nice and peaceful. Breakfasts were excellent and plentiful, with good variety. Maybe avoid 9a.m in the cooler months,as the bijou dining area was rammed, so we just shifted our time slot and all was well ! Would be no problem in warmer months as there is a courtyard with further seating. We would certainly consider the Hotel Mistral again when we next visit lovely Paris...
